On Oct 21 we celebrate the international Day of Photonics. This annual event was established to promote the science and practical use of photonics towards the general public and have companies and organizations from the photonics industry reach out to the community to tell about their role and contributions.

Without them, modern life as we know it would be unthinkable. At Finetech, we have the privilege to work with global innovation leaders at the forefront of photonics technology. In der vergangenen Woche stattete uns Frau Nadja Zivkovic, seit Ende 2018 Marzahn-Hellersdorfer Bezirksstadträtin für Wirtschaft, Straßen und Grünflächen, einen Besuch ab. Beim gemeinsamen Rundgang mit Finetech-Geschäftsführer Gunter Kürbis durch die Produktions- und Reinraumanlagen ließ sich die CDU-Politikerin erklären, wie unsere hochgenauen Platzier- und Montagesysteme entstehen und von Kunden weltweit für die Entwicklung und Fertigung innovativer Halbleiterprodukte genutzt werden.

Finetech hat als regional verwurzelter, gleichwohl global aktiver Hersteller von Equipment für die Aufbau- und Verbindungstechnik die Profilierung Marzahns als Technologiestandort über Jahrzehnte mitgeprägt. Nicht zufällig wurde hier einer der sogenannten Zukunftsstandorte des Landes Berlins ausgerufen. Mit dem Clean Tech Business Park, dem auch Finetech angehören wird, soll die Ansiedlung und Vernetzung weiterer innovativer Unternehmen aus dem Bereich saubere Zukunftstechnologien und -industrien noch stärker gefördert werden.
