Very Good Looking partnered with Austrian precision fermentation startup Fermify to create a brand identity for a visionary product still in development.
Built on a solid strategic foundation, Very Good Looking defined a brand story that mirrored Fermify’s unique position in the food-tech space, and developed a distinctive logo and a cohesive visual identity.

Packaging design for retail is a highly specialized field. While D2C brands can opt for a minimal and Insta-feed friendly design language, different rules apply for a busy retail environment.
Category, placement on-shelf, standout against surrounding competitor products and what to communicate at which physical distance.
For alt-dairy startup Mondarella, Very Good Looking was tasked with developing a packaging concept that allowed for flexibility to cater to their growing product portfolio while establishing a matrix of non-negotiables to ensure high visibility and shopability in store.

What’s a visual identity system?
A lot of things:
🫀 A visual language to describe a brand’s personality.
🫀A tool kit comprised of various elements (logo, icon, fonts, colors, key visual, etc) that, together, allows the target audiences to form brand attachment.
🫀A means to create brand consistency across formats, channels and scale.
And first and foremost:
🫀 A feeling-first impression, split-seconds before factual information (i.E. slogans, headlines, brand promises) reach our brain. If well done, it allows for that information to be received within the right framework. If the visual frame feels off, the information won’t land.
That’s what we do.

gart_phd is a Mexican-German food scientist, innovator, and the founder of startup .
With a background in food technology and years of research at the Fraunhofer Institute, she led the development of the world’s first plant-based egg that mimics the complex structure of a chicken egg, including the shell, white, and yolk.
Her work focuses on bridging the gap between nutritional science and culinary tradition to create a more ethical and climate-friendly future.
