𝑳𝒂 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒎𝒂 - my cover for Rondo Veneziano is out now!!!
A little story about the song.
Some time ago, I re-discovered this 80s band called Rondo Veneziano. It’s all pretty wild... They looked like a chamber orchestra – violins, brass instruments, all dressed up in full baroque costumes, wigs included – but then they added a drum kit and an electric bass. Sometimes they even wore masks. Right up my thing!!! - In their videos, they expanded that visual world with futuristic elements, all in comic-style animation. They also brought that look to their album covers.
When I heard "La Serenissima" again after all these years, I was blown away. The song and the video hit me hard. My first thought was: "Man, Daft Punk must have seen and heard this." My second was: "I simply have to do a cover of this banger!"
So I started experimenting – working with string arrangements, piano, orchestral components, adding some chiptune elements to make it my own, but still trying to keep that hypnotic vibe.
I love Venice. I love Vivaldi. I love Rondo Veneziano.
What could possibly go wrong? :)

When I was working on “𝕬𝖓𝖌𝖊𝖑𝖘, 𝕯𝖊𝖒𝖔𝖓𝖘 𝕬𝖓𝖉 𝕰𝖛𝖊𝖗𝖞𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝕴𝖓 𝕭𝖊𝖙𝖜𝖊𝖊𝖓,” LukHash dropped his track “Video Games” — and I was like: “F*ck… that sounds exactly like my new one.” Slight panic mode... I bounced a rough version and sent it straight to him like, “Listen to what I work on right now! I swear there is no intention to copy you!” Luckily, LukHash is a total legend and told me not to worry. (Still… feel free to compare the two and tell me what you think.)
This track was originally a free bonus with my album “The Lost Future.” Since it's been out for a while via NewRetroWave and the album is nearly out of stock (less than 10 MiniDiscs left!), I figured it’s time to give this one a proper single release.
