Something’s resonating.

Acácio Pires will join forces with us in Roterdão Club

He will open the evening with his acoustic set — guitar songs rooted in lusophonic traditions and poetic storytelling.

Then we will take on with our version of world music, threading Arabic grooves and electronic pulse into one flow.

Then Cyril Kaplan will play his chamber disco punk set to welcome the coming midnight.

Acácio is a Portuguese singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who bridges tradition and modern songwriting, turning poetry and memory into sound.

Xadrex is a Czech–Palestinian duo merging oud and frame drum compositions of Husam Abed with live electronics and percussion into an energetic dialogue on rhythm, identity and belonging.

The second halve of the duo Xadrex is czech musician and producer Cyril Kaplan who will present his project This Is What Dancefl00r I5 4 that folds analog dance music and voice into a raw, emotional ritual exploring the healing powers of dance music.

RECENZE: Xadrex na EP "7" sugestivně vypráví příběhy a halí elektroniku do orientálních barev Hudba nezná hranic. Naštěstí. A bylo by krajně nemoudré si rozlet omezovat jen na to, co má kořeny jen v řekněme západním kulturním prostoru. Fúze povědomého s odlišným totiž mohou přinést nejeden posluchačsky vděčný moment. Takovým je i čtyři skladby zahrnující EP "7" ...

V stredu večer kopa premiér: nahrávky z amazonského pralesa, z gruzínskych hôr, zo západnej Afriky aj z Libanonu. Po čínsky vám zaspieva moravská hudobníčka Barbora Xu (na foto od Jussi Vierimaa), zahrá dánsky bubeník Jan Kadereit s indonézskou skupinou Gamelan Salukat, a bude aj PulciPerla, kombinácia kolumbijskej dievčenskej kapely s francúzskymi jazzmanmi.

Xadrex - Love Letter

"Love Letter" was born from one of those beautiful accidents. While layering a Nord Drum beat to complement the oud, a slight shift—just an eighth note out of place—created an offbeat rhythm, making the song feel alive, energizing, and full of movement.

We sometimes wonder—did we end up in this time and place by some happy accident, too? Is that what makes it feel so vibrant, so full of motion? Or was it pure chance that led us to share this little piece of music with you, right here and now?

Xadrex 7 - I Wrote My Name On My Hand

The opening track of our debut EP explores that unsettling feeling that you could disappear for good in virtually any moment. We combined a traditional frame drum rhythm, often heard at weddings, with acid-inspired arpeggios to highlight the paradox of life: Here you are, but who knows what awaits around the corner?
