The medieval Romanesque underground of the Old Town—a fascinating experience! Hidden beneath Old Town Square are as many as 70 Romanesque houses and 18 churches.
➡️ Ask about tours at the information desk in the Old Town Hall.

The Hartig Garden 🌸🌺🪴 at Prague Castle is now open to the public free of charge! 🤗
➡️ It is located within the Southern Gardens complex and can be accessed either by the Black Tower (below Golden Lane) or via the Bull Staircase from the Third Courtyard, directly across from the cathedral.

The café with the best view in Prague!
They also serve excellent specialty coffee, homemade desserts and sandwiches, and a different soup every day. And on the ground floor, you can pick up an artistic souvenir or check out some interesting exhibitions.
You can combine your visit with a trip to the Wallenstein Garden, for example, or after visiting Prague Castle—the entrance is right across from the Old Castle Stairs!

Lilac season in Prague! 🤗🪻Location descriptions are always provided with the photo
🪻Two days ago—on May 8—we celebrated the anniversary of the end of World War II, and we associate lilac blossoms with this anniversary. We used them to welcome our liberators.🪻

After visiting Trója Castle, I recommend taking a walk along the river and crossing the footbridge into Stromovka Park. It’s in full bloom right now in the spring. 🤗🌸🪻

Trója Castle is a great place for a walk, especially now in the spring. And it’s not far at all. For example, you can get there from Staroměstská in 14 minutes on tram No. 17! 😉 Down in the garden, there’s a wonderful café called Bistro Karel.

🌸 Fürstenberg Garden 🌸 – a beautiful shortcut from the Malostranská metro station to Prague Castle!
➡️ Admission: 50 CZK (or €2.50), open daily: 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
Now that it’s not possible to enter Prague Castle from the Pražský Hrad tram stop (the tram tracks are under construction there), access to the Castle is either from the Pohořelec tram stop (toward the main gate) or, a bit more challenging, up the Old Castle Stairs from the Malostranská metro station. And this is the more pleasant alternative. 😉

It’s been another year since I visited Prague Castle for the open house. I never miss an opportunity to take a look inside the rooms used by our president, which aren’t normally open to the public. So I’m sharing them with you too! 😉
