PREPREG IS NOT JUST CARBON
âCarbon braceâ sounds high-tech.
But carbon fiber alone means almost nothing.
What really defines performance is the composite system:
fiber + resin + orientation + curing control.
And this is where prepreg is fundamentally different.

In classic dry/wet layup carbon, resin is mixed and applied manually.
These resins are designed to cure at room temperature and be easy to work with â not to handle extreme cyclic loads.
Because of that they typically have:

Prepreg uses a different resin family â engineered for controlled heat curing under pressure.
