This Training of Trainers (TOT) activity is an important step toward strengthening local technical capacities in agricultural mechanization and smart agriculture. We are looking forward to transferring the knowledge and practical skills gained during the training to students, farmers, and local communities through future educational and extension activities.

BAIDE is proud to implement the SmartAgriCambodia project, which supported the establishment of the Center for Smart Agriculture at the Battambang Institute for Technology. The Center strengthens practical education for students while also supporting project field activities with farmers and agricultural cooperatives in Battambang Province. We are happy to see the first teaching activities already taking place in the newly renovated facilities!

👨‍🌾 Farmers in Action! Eight-Day Agri-Machinery Training Complete!
From 9–12 and 16–19 December 2025, BAIDE, in collaboration with the Agricultural Machinery Office of the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (PDAFF) Battambang, successfully conducted an eight-day practical and theory training at Prek Chik and Samros Muk Reah Agricultural Cooperatives in Rukhak Kiri district, Battambang province.
A total of 48 farmers participated in hands-on sessions covering:
🔧 Basic repair and maintenance of power tillers (hand tractors)
🌾 Benefits and use of laser levelling machines
This training equipped local farmers with essential skills to repair and maintain their power tillers independently, helping them save costs. With the new rice planting season approaching, farmers also learned how laser levelling machines can improve efficiency and crop yields, ensuring they are ready to work smarter and boost their harvests! 👩‍🌾

Project is funded by Česká rozvojová agentura - CzechAid, supported by Czech Embassy Phnom Penh and jointly implemented by Česká zemědělská univerzita v Praze, Baide, National University Of Battambang - NUBB, Lutheran Hope Cambodia Organization - LHCO.

🌾🤝 BAIDE & Drone Neakmeas ដ្រូននាគមាស ខេត្តបាត់ដំបង Sign MoU to Advance Smart Agriculture in Battambang

BAIDE and ដ្រូននាគមាស ខេត្តបាត់ដំបង (Drone Neakmeas) have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen precision agriculture services in Cambodia- Battambang province.

With support from the Česká zemědělská univerzita v PrazeFaculty of Engineering and National University Of Battambang - NUBB, a joint team of Baide and Drone Neakmeas experts will be trained to process digital multispectral maps and turn them into practical recommendations for targeted spraying.

These experts will then train local drone service providers to use digital maps for more accurate fertilizer and pesticide application, helping them improve service quality and reduce farmers’ costs.

🌱 Why it matters

Targeted spraying means:
• 25–40 USD per hectare savings in chemicals
• 5–10% higher yields
• Better soil and water protection
• Lower climate impact

This partnership marks an important step toward making Battambang a hub of smart, efficient, and environmentally friendly agriculture.

BAIDE និង ដ្រូននាគមាសកសិកម្មកម្ពុជា បានចុះហត្ថលេខាលើអនុស្សរណៈយោគយល់ (MoU)​ ថ្មីមួយ ដើម្បីពង្រឹងសេវាកសិកម្មដ៏ច្បាស់លាស់នៅខេត្តបាត់ដំបង។

ជាមួយការគាំទ្រពី មហាវិទ្យាល័យវិស្វកម្ម នៃសាកលវិទ្យាល័យវិទ្យាសាស្រ្តប្រាក Česká zemědělská univerzita v Praze– Faculty of Engineering និង សាកលវិទ្យាល័យជាតិបាត់ដំបង National University Of Battambang - NUBB ក្រុមជំនាញរួមរបស់ BAIDE និង ដ្រូននាគមាសកសិកម្មកម្ពុជា នឹងទទួលបានការបណ្តុះបណ្តាលក្នុងការដំណើរការផែនទីឌីជីថល (digital multispectral maps) ហើយបំលែងវាទៅជាអនុសាសន៍ជាក់លាក់សម្រាប់ការបាញ់ថ្នាំកសិកម្មតាមតំបន់គោលដៅ។

Our SmartAgri Project team, together with experts from the Česká zemědělská univerzita v Praze and National University Of Battambang - NUBB, successfully completed digital drone mapping across more than 70 hectares of farmland. Coordinated by BAIDE, this mission trained local experts to use NDVI and multispectral drone technology for smarter monitoring of crop health, fertilizer, and pesticide use — helping farmers boost productivity sustainably. 🌾🌍

We are pleased to welcome Mr. Troeung Kim Seng to the BAIDE Cambodia team! 🇰🇭

Kimseng joins us as a Technical Project Officer, bringing rich experience from both academic research and the private sector in agro-industry, food processing, and rural development.

In the academic field, he has been engaged with the សាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទកសិកម្ម RUA - Royal University of Agriculture, contributing to research in bioethanol production from cassava and solar-assisted food drying technologies. In the private sector, he has worked with Medai G.B Enterprise and SGS Cambodia, focusing on food quality assurance, laboratory testing, and product safety analysis.

At BAIDE, Kimseng will play a key role in training Communal Agricultural Officers (CAOs), supporting the distribution and maintenance of food-processing equipment for Agricultural Cooperatives, and providing technical assessments and field expertise within our SmartAgri Cambodia and rural development programs.

His strong technical foundation, combining research insight with practical field experience, will help BAIDE continue advancing sustainable agricultural innovation and strengthening local value chains in Cambodia.

This platform allows us to connect with agricultural stakeholders, exchange knowledge, and strengthen networks for advancing sustainable farming in Cambodia.

Supporting Czech companies is BAIDE’s long-term mission — not only in agricultural machinery, but across the wider agribusiness sector. BAIDE combines its role in humanitarian and sustainable development projects with efforts to create meaningful business opportunities for Czech enterprises. Together with Mr. Seng Tuy (Head of the Department of Agricultural Engineering, General Directorate of Agriculture, MAFF), Mr. Jakub Černý (Deputy Head of Mission, Czech Embassy in Phnom Penh), and Mr. Kamil Pikal (Development Cooperation Counsellor), we are discussing how Czech agribusiness companies can enter the Cambodian market in ways that strengthen local livelihoods, support sustainable development, and build lasting partnerships.
