The purpose of ESPA is to promote education and research amongst practitioners of paediatric anaesthesia in Europe in order to provide safe and high-quality perioperative care and pain management in children ESPA is interested in paediatric anaesthesia in the broadest sense of the term which can include at least the following: perioperative care for children, intensive care for children, pain therapy for children and emergency medicine for children.
