After the film, at 9:00 PM, we will present a brand new photography book by Jiří Horák (Epos group).

Dear all,

I’ve waited six years to tell you this, and to be honest, the timing feels a little strange. Six years ago, I had a dream to make a documentary about the EPOS group, also using analog cameras—just like they did back in the day. I initially hoped to finish the film in one year.
Then, COVID happened. Slowly, I began to realize that the film, as it was coming together, was something I almost gave up on many times. But my team kept pushing me to go further. So, last year I re-edited it from 75 to 54 minutes. And now, the film is finally out.
We will have a world premiere at Kino Art in march.

It feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
At the same time, the release feels a bit strange because the timing is so different from what I imagined. It makes me wonder—does this kind of film have a future?I believe it does.

Emanuele Ruggiero is an Italian film-maker who has been based in Brno since 2013. His new documentary, “Fashion Goes Green”, which premieres in Kino Art on Tuesday, tells the story of Brno’s renowned textiles industry, which once earned the city the nickname “Moravian Manchester”.
