According to Sam Westrop’s article [1] in the March 6, 2026 edition of Focus on Western Islamism:

“Following the Middle East Forum’s January report on Islamist efforts to secure public funding in Texas, a new investigation indicates that a private Islamist-run school and radical curricula provider in the Dallas suburbs, previously established and staffed by Hamas-aligned operatives, are today teaching children hatred of “disbelievers” and lauding the work of banned terror charities.

Previous school staff appear to have included two close relatives of the Doha-based Hamas leader Khaled Mishal, family members of convicted terrorists, a deported Hamas operative, and an unindicted co-conspirator in America’s largest terror financing trial.”

According to the article, the Brighter Horizons Academy is a subsidiary of and uses educational materials and textbooks from the Islamic Services Foundation (ISF). In addition to presenting terrorist organizations as charities doing good works and Muslim Brotherhood clerics as mainstream Islamic scholars, these books inculcate children from kindergarten to grade 12 with hatred for American society. By high school graduation, they are perfect instruments of dawah and jihad.

The preface of the grade 12 textbook, Living Islam—Islam in America: Part 7 [2] says:

“…The American Muslim can contribute greatly to the restoration of the spiritual and moral core of this modern civilization which has been profoundly shaken by the advancement of materialistic social norms. North American Muslims can restore the spiritual and moral dimensions of modern life while continuing to be faithful to the true spirit of the modern American society…”

How would this be accomplished? By spreading Islam, of course.

Two paragraphs later, the preface frames the 9/11 jihad attacks on the US as an event that victimized Muslims and vilified Islam:

“…The story of American Muslims is not free of difficulties, challenges or even sacrifices. Although the Muslim community lost tens of their dear ones in the tragic events of September 11 in New York and Washington, they paid dearly out of their very existence and livelihood during the years after. The tragedy was brought upon them as it was brought upon their countrymen and women. What shook Muslim Americans even more, the fact that the image of Islam and the Muslim was severely challenged and scrutinized…”

Not counting the hijackers, 32 Muslims were killed [3] in that act of jihad versus over 2900 non-Muslims (Kafirs). The last thing heard from the cockpit of Flight 93 [4] was someone shouting, “Allahu akbar!” (God is the greatest!) But according to Nabil Sadoun [5], a man who was deported for having undisclosed ties to Hamas [6] and author of the preface as well as many ISF textbooks, Muslims are hurt and upset about what they perceive as an image problem. Image problem? What kind of image do they expect people to have of Islam when violent jihadis kill thousands of innocent, defenceless people in the name of Allah?

At a United Nations event marking the UN’s International Day to Combat Islamophobia [1], the Holy See issued a statement [2] warning that denial of religious freedom leads to fear, violence, and social decay. While framed as a defense of universal liberty, the Vatican’s intervention adopts a highly contested political term—“Islamophobia”—without addressing the ideological and legal dimensions of Islam that generate legitimate public concern.

The term itself did not arise as a neutral descriptor of anti-Muslim bigotry. It was promoted through international institutions by actors linked to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), whose long-standing agenda includes limiting criticism of Islamic doctrine under the rubric of “defamation of religions.” By expressing gratitude to the OIC for organizing the event, the Holy See effectively legitimized a bloc that represents states adhering to the doctrine, found in the Koran (Allah’s words) and Sunna (Mohammed’s traditions and biography) which states that the conversion out of Islam, blasphemy, or criticism of Mohammed can be punishable by imprisonment or death. This raises an obvious contradiction: institutions that severely restrict religious freedom at home are positioned as guardians of tolerance abroad [...]

Opposition to anti-Muslim violence or harassment was never questioned across non-Islamic countries. Human life, its protection and dignity is always at the core of non-Islamic societies, regardless of people’s background. However, the politicized concept of “Islamophobia” often functions to delegitimize examination of Islamic political ideology, Sharia-derived policies, or the role of the Islamic doctrine in public life. By endorsing this framework and praising the OIC, the Vatican risks reinforcing a narrative that equates critique of ideas with hatred of people—an equation that undermines the very freedom of thought and belief it seeks to defend [...]

When Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese, announced the Royal Commission into Antisemitism and Social Cohesion (RCA), he did something both cautious and daring at once. The Commission’s terms of reference call for examination of the nature and drivers of Jew hatred, including “ideologically and religiously motivated extremism and radicalisation”, alongside measures to strengthen social cohesion and public safety.¹

Yet conspicuously absent is any explicit naming of Islam or its doctrine. That omission matters, because the current global wave of Jew hatred, particularly in its post-2001 manifestations cannot be examined seriously without confronting politics, violent jihad, Sharia and the treatment of non-Muslims embedded within Islamic primary texts.

The result is a paradox. Mr. Albanese has invited scrutiny of “extremism” while leaving the ideology, Political Islam, which is embedded in the Islamic primary doctrine, unnamed. He has, in effect, opened the door without putting a sign on the room.

Mr. Albanese’s approach is not weakness but tactical courage. He is attempting to keep his eye on the ball of Jew hatred and social cohesion, while the powerful doctrinal and political pressures attempt to divert attention away from full and accurate disclosure of Islamic political teaching.

The word jihad means “effort” or “striving”. It is a comprehensive set of tactics for subjugating non-Muslims (Kafirs), with the final aim of making the whole world submit to Mohammed and Allah. It comprises 31% of primary Islamic doctrine: 9% of the Koran, 21% of the Hadith (Mohammed's traditions) and 67% of the Sira (Mohammed's biography).

A common defense of jihad is that it has two forms. There is the ‘greater jihad,’ which is the inner struggle to overcome bad habits, and the ‘lesser jihad’ of war. How much of the jihad literature is about the ‘lesser jihad’? Hadith Bukhari contains 645,745 words. Of these, 132,315 words are devoted to jihad. Of these 132,315 words, 129,968 (98.2%) are about the ‘lesser jihad’ of war. Less than 2% is about the ‘greater jihad’ of the inner struggle.

Antisemitism – defined as hatred of Jews – has surged uncontrollably in Australia and worldwide since 7 October 2023. Australian Jews, half a world away from the conflict, have become targets of verbal abuse, vandalism, and violence, most tragically demonstrated by the 14 December 2025 Bondi Beach terrorist attack. This submission examines the profound social-cohesion consequences of taught hatred in our multicultural democracy.

Both the National Islamophobia Report (Special Envoy Aftab Malik) and the Antisemitism Report (Special Envoy Jillian Segal) identify education as the primary remedy, referencing it approximately 60 and 40 times respectively. These calls echo the repeated parliamentary demands made after the 9/11 attacks and the 2002 Bali bombings (88 Australian lives lost), when leaders across the political spectrum urged schools and universities to conduct a “deep dive” into those elements of Islamic doctrine that inspire violent jihad – specifically the Koranic treatment of Jews and Christians, and the example of Mohammed in the Hadith.

➡️ Recommendation

C4WU therefore recommends that the Royal Commission mandate a full, non-monopoly disclosure of the Islamic primary doctrine and Sharia, delivered by independent scholars using C4WU’s scientific, evidence-based methodology. This approach clarifies the doctrinal roots of Jew-hatred and equips educators, policymakers, and communities with the knowledge needed to uphold Australian values while protecting social cohesion.

By confronting the taught sources of hatred rather than merely its symptoms, Australia can honour the post-9/11 parliamentary consensus, implement the envoys’ recommendations, and build a genuinely inclusive society free from doctrinally driven prejudice.

➡️ What is C4WU?

The C4WU (Center for World Understanding) [1] is an international education and research platform of CSPII (Center for the Study of Political Islam International) which studies foundational Islamic doctrines. Historically, and still today, lack of knowledge has resulted in misconceptions and uncertainty for both the Islamic and non-Islamic worlds. Our goal is to contribute to a kinder and more united society through open exchange and understanding. We do this by sharing our research, and providing education, in a way that is accessible to all.

➡️ What Is a Royal Commission?

The Royal Commission is established by Letters Patent [2] issued by the Governor-General in the name of King Charles III, as the Crown, which constitutes the formal source of legal authority. An Australian Royal Commission is a high-level public inquiry, comparable to a U.S. Presidential Commission or a special congressional investigation, but with significantly stronger legal powers. These independent bodies are led by appointed experts and can compel witnesses to testify and require the production of documents to investigate major national scandals or systemic failures. While they cannot themselves convict individuals, their final reports often prompt legislative reform and may lead to criminal prosecutions.

A recent NPR report [1] on New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s public Ramadan events exemplifies a broader media pattern: portraying Islam as a neutral, purely spiritual faith while obscuring its civilizational, political and military dimensions. The story presents public prayers and shared iftar meals as harmless cultural inclusion, framing them as efforts “to normalize Muslim life” in the city.

By depicting Ramadan celebrations as purely cultural and portraying Islam as a neutral personal faith, NPR’s coverage exemplifies how major media outlets sanitize what is believed to be, and is often also legally inaccurately considered, a religion. However, Islam is and always has been, both doctrinally and in practice, a comprehensive civilization system. Public iftar events [2] hosted by state officials are not merely dinners; they are symbolic assertions tied to a tradition that merges religion, law, and a political system designed to subjugate all others.

A high-profile public observance led by a political figure — especially when explicitly described as defiant — can be interpreted as a form of political jihad [3], even in the absence of violence. Political Islam is a threat to non-Islamic civilizations, even through non-violent jihad. Actually, much more so.

Activities that improve Islam’s PR, visibility, or influence in non-Islamic societies can fall within this non-violent category. Jihad aims at Islam’s ultimate prevalence, and the creation of positive public promotion can serve that goal.

“The First Lady and I send our best wishes to every American celebrating Eid al-Fitr. Eid al-Fitr, also known as the Festival of Breaking the Fast, unites Muslim families, friends, and communities in honor of their spiritual devotion at the conclusion of Ramadan. It also serves as a reminder of the foundational American principle of religious liberty, which my Administration is fighting for every day. We offer our warmest greetings for a blessed Eid al-Fitr to all who celebrate.” [1]

The President’s message can be understood as part of a wider communication strategy aimed at the Islamic society within the USA. It subtly connects Ramadan with religious liberty, while it is a known fact that Islamic doctrine does not endorse religious liberty or coexistence at all. It goes even further, Islamic doctrine prescribes the capital punishment for leaving Islam. (Hadith Bukhari 6922, Mohammed: “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.”) [2]. The President’s message serves as a skillful and gentle reminder to Islamic organizations as well as communities in the USA of what is expected from them—respecting the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution regarding religious freedom, which is in complete contradiction to the Islamic scriptures they adhere to. This seems like a very likely explanation, especially in the context of other actions conducted by the current US President and Government to strengthen national security and protect sovereignty.

In this article we would like to add an additional context in regard to Ramadan for non-Islamic audience which was probably not the target group of the above-mentioned message. Also, most similar messages from many other non-Islamic officials are presented as uninformed inclusive gestures aimed at the whole of society. They exemplify a broader pattern in which non-Islamic governments publicly and non-critically celebrate Islamic events without acknowledging the political, legal, military, and civilizational doctrines embedded in the Islamic doctrine and tradition. Therefore, this article focuses on all messaging of public officials in regard to Islamic celebrations with special focus on the end of Ramadan [...]

☪️ Need More Context?

Ramadan is an Islamic event that commemorates the revelations of the Koran to Mohammed. In simple terms, it is a celebration of Islamic doctrine—of the Koran and also of scriptures dedicated to Mohammed’s life, as the Koran demands 89 times [1] that Muslims imitate Mohammed in every single way.

📖 So What Is So Concerning About Celebrating the Revelation of the Koran in non-Islamic Countries?

◾ 6.7% of the Koran’s content is anti-Jewish [2] in comparison to Mein Kampf with its 7%
◾ 8.7% of the Koran’s total content is dedicated to jihad [3]
◾ 71.2% of the Koran’s content about women gives them a low status [4]
◾ 64% of the Koran’s content is dedicated to non-Muslims [5] and contains dehumanizing verses like Koran 98:6 [6], verses supporting paradise as a reward for violent jihad like Koran 9:111 [7], verses supporting (sexual) slavery like Koran 4:24 [8], and verses prescribing fighting Christians and Jews like Koran 9:29 [9]

Any type of support or endorsement of Ramadan in non-Islamic society is, therefore, highly problematic.

🌐 About the Campaign

Before and during Ramadan, we will be sending letters and/or emails with well-reasoned argumentation, anchored in Islamic doctrine [10], to municipalities around the world with our recommendation to avoid Ramadan decorations and events in public spaces, as well as to avoid accepting invitations to iftar meals. We will publish the list of contacted municipalities on our social media channels.

The term “Islamophobia” is a strategic tool used to shut down criticism of Islamic political ideology by conflating it with racism and hate speech. Therefore, people should combat the term on what may be seen as the most fitting day: 15 March, which the UN has established as the “International Day to Combat Islamophobia.” (https://www.un.org/en/observances/anti-islamophobia-day)

➡️ Why “Phobia” Is an Inaccurate Term

The word "phobia" originates in psychiatry and denotes an irrational, clinically diagnosable fear. To apply it to political or doctrinal critique is intellectually dishonest. Concern over the political and legal teachings of Islam—based on textual sources and historical precedent—is not irrational but grounded in reality. Labelling such concern as a mental defect serves to discredit the critic rather than address the argument. It also collapses the distinction between violent bigotry and informed analysis.

➡️ The Origins and Strategic Deployment of the Term

"Islamophobia" entered non-Islamic informational space prominently in the 1990s, particularly with the Runnymede Trust’s report [1] that portrayed criticism of Islam as inherently prejudiced. The term has been heavily promoted [2] by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC, the united voice of 57 Islamic countries), led by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Iran, which has aimed to criminalize what it calls "defamation of religion" on a global scale. The term has been adopted by the United Nations [3], the European Union [4], and numerous countries and NGOs, effectively embedding it in institutional frameworks that discourage criticism of Islamic doctrine.

[1] Runnymede Trust. 1997. “Islamophobia: A Challenge For Us All.”
[2] OIC 2005, 2008, 2010, 2025
[3] United Nations General Assembly. 2022. “International Day to Combat Islamophobia.”
[4] European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia. Summary Report on Islamophobia in the EU After 11 September 2001

➡️ Criticism of an Ideology Is Not Bigotry

Islam is not a race; it is a belief system and a political doctrine. Criticizing it is no more racist than critiquing any other known political ideology. Many of the most forceful critics of Islam are ex-Muslims. The term "Islamophobia" is a deliberate conflation of ideological critique with racial prejudice, designed to suppress free inquiry.

Furthermore, the labelling of people as “Islamophobic” is typically used to infer something akin to racism, meaning they are against a certain group of people. Being critical of a doctrine, however, should not be conflated with discriminating against people. Similarly, pointing out that Islamic doctrine contains an ideology that motivates people to behave a certain way is a reasonable statement of cause and effect, not a prejudiced belief \[...\]

📰 ➡️ Read the press release here: https://www.cspii.org/learn-political-islam/new-articles/female-ge***al-mutilation-cspii-fgm-index-2026-finds-up-to-307-million-women-affected-and-strong-link-to-islamic-doctrine

Here are some findings of the CSPII FGM INDEX 2026 which show the strong correlation between FGM and the influence of Islamic doctrine:

◾297–307 million women and girls alive today have undergone female ge***al mutilation (FGM), amounting to one in every thirteen of them. The great majority are mutilated before puberty, sometimes as early as in infancy.

◾About a quarter of Muslim females have undergone FGM, compared to 1 in 54 non-Muslim females.

◾Immigration from FGM-practising Islamic countries has introduced FGM to countries hitherto unaffected with, for example, 577,000 victims in the United States, 161,000 in Canada and 139,000 in France. In Sweden 1.3% of all girls and women are affected.

CSPII FGM INDEX 2026 includes an analysis of primary Islamic doctrine which reveals that the Koran implies FGM to be a part of human nature as created by Allah, and should be practised by Muslims; that Mohammed, Islam’s founder, repeatedly approved of FGM, and that Mohammed’s closest friends, family and companions practised FGM. Muslim women are thus the primary victims of the Islamic doctrine they adhere to.

It is our hope that this recurring publication, by highlighting the gravity of the problem and by exposing links between Islamic doctrine and FGM, will contribute to a better understanding of the nature and causes of FGM, and thereby help eliminate this grave violation of the dignity and rights of children, and the women they grow up to be.
