What is the reason that our manicure doesn't last?🤔

Its so frustrating when you get your nails done and its start chipping, peeleing within couple of days.
What we can do to prevent from this issue?

Before I dive in save it for later!

There are few reasons why our manicure Don't last

⚜️Proper preparation is key factor. Our natural nails must be completely dry , dust & oil free. Doesn't matter how well we prepared client nails if they arrive with oily hands from previously applied hand lotion. This will create a barrier between the nailplate and the gel/acrylic.

⚜️Every day lifestyle is also a big factor on how long the manicure will last. They more likely going to chipping, peeling if the client soak their hands in water or chemicals due to cleaning. Wearing globes can help protecting not only the manicure But our skin too.

⚜️Another reason is why manicure doesnt last is active hand use. Activities like gardening, cleaning, renovation ...etc.
You wouldn't think But typing on computer can cause chipping, peeling due to constant and regular knocking with the finger tip.

What can you do to prevent lasting issues?
🔸Skip hand lotion before manicure appointment
🔸Wear protection gloves for cleaning, gardening
🔸If you working on computers keep your nails as short as possible, ask for extra strengtening
🔸Infills, refresh your manicure regularly,
🔸Listen to your nail technician advices, they are properly trained. They knows better than you.

Here is a 3 weeks set .
It has been shortened, old color removed until the base layer.
After proper cuticle work I painted red color & added some glitter.
And finally I covered the whole nail with milky white. It nicely see thru by the cuticle area.
It shows a nice blend between the milky and the glittery red area.

Its a really good way to sparkle up our manicure, add a little extra.

Here is a good example why we need to change our manicure.
Its my manicure on the foto

On the 1st foto you can see a big overgrown part between the gel and the cuticle area. This is the space what I need to cover with new gel.

At the same time I did shorten the lenght so its more comfortable to wear ( I don't feel well with long nails)

Also removed most of the gel from the top, so I can nicely even out the surface without creating bulky , very thick structure.

Properly cleaned cuticle allowed me to create the design as close as possible toward the pocket area.
This way the nail looks like it growed out already painted
