Inspired by Rick Rubin’s The Creative Act: A Way of Being. How freeing would it be to create purely for yourself, without worrying about what anyone else thinks? I can’t say I’ve fully reached that kind of inner peace or maturity, but I try to follow that idea with my notebook and postcard series. I never really set out to sell them (which probably shows, since I don’t put much energy into marketing or promoting them). For me, it’s about making something I genuinely love. If others enjoy them too, that’s a bonus — and I’m lucky there are people out there who do. But in the end, what matters most is that I’m in charge of the whole process, and I’m creating for myself.

This old letterpress has had a hundred years of hands before mine. I think about the conversations, the misprints, the perfect ones—and it feels special to keep that history going. Like I’ve got a bit of a duty to keep it printing.

I’ve always loved the greek expression όσο - όσο, meaning nothing more, nothing less. It is a principle I try to follow in all aspects of my life and the same should be applied to your bespoke stationery. Design that breathes, όσο - όσο.
