On Sunday, July 13th, I have been asked to present the trophies to the youth sailors who are just beginning their sailing journey at the Paphos Youth Sailing Venture. A keen dinghy sailor myself, I donated my two Topper dinghies, sadly, one was damaged before it reached them so it operated at the land trainer boat. However Dottie is a great favourite.
As a dyslexic sailor, I struggled with the linear methodology and appreciate the challenges for aspiring dyslexic sailors. I was insired to write so a multi-sensory, day-to-day adventure story for young dyslexic sailors "Sailing with Sam" (soon to become "Sailing with Dyslexia".Each chapter is a story capsule, short, snappy, and engaging. Dottie and her sister boat Vitamin C, feature a lot. Some of the lucky sailors will receive their own signed copy.

While enjoying the natural beauty that surrounded him, he suddenly realized that sound waves could be transformed into flowing currents of electricity.

He realized, conducted along wires, these electrical currents could be converted back into sound waves at a distant location...

And it's this insight that was become the basis for his invention of the telephone...History is also littered with examples of precisely this understanding at work...
