Nearly two weeks on from 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮, one message continues to resonate:

“Technology works best when it supports relationships, not when it replaces them.” - Maria Theodosiou, Managing Director, GenPro

It’s a point that came through consistently - at our “𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗜 𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀” event and in the many conversations throughout the week.

As the industry pushes forward with digitalisation, the fundamentals remain unchanged: decisions - and outcomes - still depend on people.

Some weeks stand out - Posidonia was certainly one of them.

This year’s 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸was a timely reminder of why face-to-face industry engagement still matters. We spent the week reconnecting with peers and partners from around the world, with conversations that were direct, insightful, and grounded in the realities of our industry.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit us at the CSC booth. The most valuable moments came from open, unfiltered exchanges — sharing challenges and perspectives on where we’re heading next.

A special thanks to the organisers for delivering such a high-quality event.

𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗨𝘀

The ocean isn’t distant - it underpins everything, including the systems that move global trade.

This 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗢𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆, the BBNJ (Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction) Agreement, developed under the United Nations, brings structure to protecting the high seas - the largest shared space on Earth.🪸

But structure alone doesn’t drive outcomes. Action does.

At 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗣𝗿𝗼, that action shows up in how we operate:
• Improving sourcing practices to reduce ocean impact
• Designing out waste by supporting suppliers to cut plastic packaging
• Strengthening accountability through supplier ESG audit criteria

Because the same systems that power global trade also shape ocean health.

This year’s theme, “Reimagine,” isn’t just about thinking differently - it’s about acting differently.🌊

This 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆, the message behind is clear: delay isn’t an option. That urgency is already driving change - with stronger regulations, greater scrutiny, and rising expectations across global supply chains.

At GenPro, we respond through procurement with purpose - structuring our network around clear standards, robust onboarding, and continuous compliance oversight. Responsible procurement is embedded in how suppliers are selected, managed, and evaluated - ensuring environmental impact is actively addressed, not assumed.

The future of this fragile world rests on the decisions we make now - and the accountability we’re willing to stand behind.
