Have You Been Involved in a Road Traffic Collision?

According to current legislation, in the event of a road traffic collision and provided certain conditions are met, drivers are required to move their vehicles from the scene of the accident to a nearby safe location.

✅ First and Most Important Step

Immediately contact the Accident Assistance Service. Our trained representatives will guide you through the next steps.

❗ When Vehicles Must NOT Be Moved

Vehicles must remain at the scene if any of the following apply:

▪️ There is an injury.
▪️ An uninsured vehicle is involved.
▪️ A government vehicle is involved.
▪️ A driver has left the scene.

👉 In these cases, remain at the scene and follow the instructions provided by the Accident Assistance Service.

🚗 When Vehicles Should Be Moved

If none of the above circumstances apply, and:

▪️ The vehicles can be moved safely (without towing and without causing further damage), and
▪️ Their presence creates a hazard or obstructs traffic,

👉 then the vehicles should be moved to a nearby safe location.

Before moving the vehicles, you must:

1. Exchange information with the other involved drivers, including:
* Full name
* Insurance policy number
* Driving licence number
* Vehicle registration number
* Telephone number
2. Take photographs showing:

▪️ The position of the vehicles before they are moved.
▪️ The vehicle registration plates.
▪️ The damage to each vehicle.
▪️ The overall scene of the collision (road layout, traffic signs, and surrounding conditions).
