Our main grocery store accepts credit card, and prices are posted in US$

If you draw money out of a Cuban bank you will receive Cuban pesos. This currency is useless outside of Cuba, so don't withdraw too much because you cannot exchange it back into foreign currency. There is an international bank in Varadero if you need to withdraw dollars or euros.

It sounds a little complicated, but Cuba has gone through some changes in the last few years with discontinuing the Convertible Cuban Peso (CUP). When booking your CasaCuba apartment, check in with us to ask what is the best solution for planning what money to bring.

Buyer beware: when you book an apartment Cuban, often the prices relect the rental of an individual room in the host's house. We offer an entire private apartment, with a fulltime concierge living blocks away in Matanzas. Therefore the price posted on Airbnb reflects the entire apartment. Two bedrooms in the Casa Rio apartment and three bedrooms in the Casa Luna apartment. Or rent these adjoining apartments together for a larger family or group of friends!
