The latest Tourism: Trends & Prospects – Quarterly Report (Q2/2026) by the Travel Commission (ETC) reveals that international tourist arrivals across Europe grew by 5.0%, while overnight stays increased by 4.8% compared to the same period in 2025.

The report also highlights a shift in traveller behaviour, with tourists increasingly choosing destinations that offer safety, value for money, and year-round experiences. Northern Europe led regional growth, while Greece, Italy, and Malta emerged among the strongest-performing destinations.
