Yesterday we gathered experts, researchers, and enthusiasts at the Sheraton Hotel in Novi Sad for a roundtable discussion titled "The Future of Smart Textile Applications," organized as part of the STRENTEX Project.

📌 The discussion focused on the significance of textile electronics, their applications in biomedicine, sports, and everyday life, and the potential of wearable technology to enhance quality of life.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar, StrentexProject team member, attended the NanoMedicine International Conference (NanoMed 2024) in Barcelona, Spain in the period October 23-25, 2024. He presented his work on MXene-enhanced textile-based wearable pH sensors, sparking insightful discussions on advancements in nanotechnology for healthcare.

Our team member Dr. Sohail Sarang, had the opportunity to attend the CORE DAYS 2024 (https://coredays.org/) regional conference “Western Balkans ESG Response: Towards Net Zero Future” in Belgrade, Serbia. The event gathered over 150 leaders, experts, and researchers to discuss various topics and solutions for Net Zero Future. It provided an excellent opportunity to network with stakeholders working in energy, food, innovation, and related fields.

Yesterday, October 24, 2024, a team from Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), the national broadcaster, visited the Laboratory of STRENTEX team, at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad. Under the leadership of Prof. Goran Stojanovic, the RTS team filmed the research group and showcased the demonstrators developed as part of the STRENTEX Project. This visit highlighted the project’s achievements in advancing stretchable and wearable electronics, and its impact on wider society.

The final StrentexProject conference, held over two days (Oct 2-3, 2024), gathered more than 40 participants from 12 countries to discuss textile and stretchable electronics. 🌍

A special thank you to Dean Boris Dumnić of the Fakultet tehničkih nauka - Novi Sad for his support and to all the speakers for their valuable contributions. It was truly a pleasure to hear such impactful presentations, engage in discussions, and connect with colleagues from around the world.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making this event memorable. We look forward to future collaborations and continuing the progress in our field.

On September 18, 2024, we had the pleasure of presenting the results of the StrentexProject during the SmartX Innovation Hub webinar. Our researcher, Dr. Sohail Sarang, briefed the on the achievements of our team. He provided an overview of the prototypes and systems we have developed using e-textiles for a wide range of applications. Additionally, he shared details about the services we offer and the research facilities available for conducting state-of-the-art research in the field of Stretchable and Textile Electronics at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. He introduced Strentex Innovations Ltd, a startup that has emerged from the STRENTEX Project and aims to bring our research to the market for .

The StrentexProject is organizing its Final Conference set to take place in Novi Sad on October 2-3, 2024. The event will feature a variety of presentations on topics such as smart materials, stretchable and textile circuits, wearable bioelectronics for medical diagnostics, body monitoring technology, flexible heaters using conductive fabric, and advancements in textile electronics like carbon-based sensors and biofuel cells. Renowned experts from across Europe and beyond will share their knowledge and insights.
