What an inspiring few days in Tokyo!
The Houdini Hive Tokyo 2025 gathered some of the most talented Houdini artists from around the world — and we’re glad we got to be part of it.
Today, Bogdan Amidžić and Petar Jovović took the stage to share their work and ideas with the community, sparking great discussions and creative exchanges throughout the event.

Crater Studio has landed in Japan!
SideFX, creators of software, has invited us to be a part of this year’s Houdini Hive Tokyo Workshops.
Two of Crater’s most experienced creatives — Bogdan Amidzic (Lead FX TD / FX Supervisor) and Petar Jovovic (VFX Executive Supervisor) — have joined the roster of speakers, participating in one of the most inspiring gatherings for the global Houdini community.
Bogdan will present “Dawning – Building a Procedural World in Solaris”, revealing how procedural thinking and USD workflows can shape vast and dynamic digital worlds.

Like the flower she once was, before a wild Balkan oak named Vane swept her off her feet — and into a lifetime of sighs, eye-rolls, and damage control.
She doesn’t ask anymore why she’s cleaning the same mess every single day. Romeo shows up. Chaos follows. The wall still has a hole in it.
But Rosa keeps scrubbing. Not because it helps — but because the neighbors are watching.
And if she can’t fix her family, at least she can keep the floors spotless.
From Romeo — an animated short full of love, drama, and one woman’s never-ending chore list.
Meet Vane — the Balkan dad with zero chill and unlimited opinions.
He drinks rakija like it’s water, trusts no one under 60, and definitely didn’t ask for an Italian son-in-law. His eyebrows do most of the talking, and his temper could knock over a Vespa at 20 meters.
But deep down? He might have a soft spot. Just don’t tell him we said that.

From the wild imagination of Crater Studio ’s art director Zoran Cvetkovic comes a short animated film set in a chaotic 1970s Italian village — where love, opera, and exhaust fumes fill the air.
Made in , this animated tale follows Romeo, a singing scooter menace whose heartfelt serenade stirs the whole neighborhood… and unknowingly alters the course of history.
Animation meets absurdity. Love meets high-octane. Balkan family meets Italian passion.
