The first step to improving a tennis player's physical condition is like that of most journeys, you should first determine where you are before contemplating the direction and pace you should go. In the athlete preparation process the performance of a musculoskeletal and medical screening along with a baterry of fitness tests is that first step.
Medical screening is a comprehensive medical examination evaluating general health and injury risk, it is examination of the musculoskeletal system that considers posture, flexibility, strength and stability.

Osmostepeni model ima tri različite faze: pripremnu, ubrzanje i fazu usporavanja. Faze odražavaju različite dinamičke funkcije serviranja: čuvanje energije (pripremna faza), oslobađanje energije (faza ubrzanja) i usporavanje (faza završnog pokreta).
U narednim objavama ćemo detaljno prelaziti kroz svaku od faza i pozicija.
