Here at Bakson Ltd, we proudly recognize the amazing women on our team and the contributions they make! To celebrate, the women of Bakson Ltd. received gifts and headed out for a team lunch together.

But do you know how the day came about?

𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟴𝘁𝗵 🌍

Globally known as 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 (𝗜𝗪𝗗), March 8th is a day dedicated to not only recognizing women and their achievements but advocating for gender equality as well. Before the corporate campaigns and the gifts, IWD was born from a fierce demand for change.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀

The roots of IWD can be traced back to labor movements from the early 20th century.

𝗜𝗻 𝟭𝟵𝟬𝟴, women garment workers in 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 protested for better working conditions, better pay, shorter hours, and the right to vote, as well as for the end to child labor, which was rampant in factories at the time. At the International Socialist Women's Conference held in 𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟬 in 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻, activist 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗭𝗲𝘁𝗸𝗶𝗻 proposed the creation of an international women’s day. The first actual large-scale IWD celebrations took place 𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟭 across 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸, and 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘁𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

On 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟴𝘁𝗵, 𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟳, women workers in Petrograd protested for “peace and bread”, which helped them gain voting rights shortly afterward.

𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The global movement was officially cemented when the United Nations declared 𝟭𝟵𝟳𝟱 to be International Women's Year. This was officially followed up with their adopting a resolution in 𝟭𝟵𝟳𝟳 recognizing March 8th as International Women’s day.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜𝘁 𝗜𝘀 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆

While traditions have evolved, the spirit remains as vibrant ever. Today it is common to give flowers and small gifts (an especially popular tradition here in Eastern Europe and the Balkans as well as in Italy!). Both marches for furthering women’s rights and raising awareness through equality campaigns are common to mark IWD. Formal events are also held to celebrate women’s achievements in business and in public life.

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸!

𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻 has long been home to organizations that have forged some of the most influential engineering methodologies shaping today’s world.

Beyond the well-known programming language 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝘆, concepts such as the 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗻 / 𝗧𝗼𝘆𝗼𝘁𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (𝗧𝗣𝗦), 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗯𝗮𝗻, 𝗞𝗮𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻, and even 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗺 - which was inspired by Japanese product development practices - continue to positively influence how modern teams build products and improve systems.

Moreover, the impact of Japanese engineering culture on global product development is profound: discipline, continuous improvement, long-term thinking and strong ownership.

We’re glad that our C.O.O, Arsen Kostic, was extended the honour to attend the reception hosted by the 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 and continue developing connections with partners who share a deep respect for both engineering excellence and culture.

In 2025, our team grew from 67 to 86 full-time employees. We’re proud of that.

But we’re even happier about another number: our 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 grew from 53 to 62 - and every single child received a New Year’s gift! 🎁

This year's performance was beautifully engaging for both the little ones and their parents, weaving important ecological themes throughout the story, with the message that we must protect Planet Earth. 🌍 It's never too early to inspire that kind of thinking and determination in future generations.

To complete the experience, Santa showed up with gifts for the children who came to help their parents decorate our workspace. And while the ornaments looked great, the most beautiful decor in the office was, without a doubt, the kids' smiles. ✨😊

At Bakson, we believe that a healthy community is built on more than just emails and meetings. Recently, taking advantage of a window of a few quiet hours around the holidays, we decided to switch gears and host 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆!

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀? 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵! Beyond the glory of 𝟴 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹𝘀, the grand prize was something to talk about: a team visit to a legendary restaurant in Mladenovac celebrated for their roasted meat (𝗽𝗲č𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗿𝗮)!

Kudos to Veljko and Nebojsa for organizing the event and a special thanks to everyone who joined in. You helped reinforce what matters most to us - 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀.

Bakson Ltd joined the delegation of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Serbien) in 𝗗𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗱 for three days. We didn’t go to Germany for the Christmas markets - we went to see how the industrial heart of Europe is handling the shift to AI as well as to learn both how AI is being implemented today and how its future is being shaped.

We joined the delegation for a simple reason: to study the engine and to understand the future AI concepts being cooked up in AI institutes. We spent three days with the people building the foundations - at the Lamarr Institute, Fraunhofer IIS, and companies such as Conciso. GmbH, adesso SE and IANUS Simulation GmbH, starting our journey from Economic Development Agency Dortmund.

𝗜𝗧 𝗜𝗦𝗡’𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗜𝗖. 𝗜𝗧’𝗦 𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚.
𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱:

• 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗔𝗚: No longer just retrieving information, it is software that can reason and act on what it finds. Like having an assistant who knows exactly which file cabinet to open.

• 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀: Secure data sharing without having to give up control. Manufacturers can collaborate on high-quality datasets while keeping their trade secrets.

• 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀: Fraunhofer ISST demonstrated the value of simulation. Break things in software before you build them in steel. Test a production line thousands of times before lunch. The ROI is obvious.

• 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: Garbage into the AI, garbage out. Worse: feed malicious garbage in, and someone else may shape your decisions.


𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗦
𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀; 𝗔𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀:

𝟭. 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: the rules are being written now. Led by Europe, they aren’t just red tape; they’re defining the boundaries of safety, in close relation to data privacy, and influencing our lives.

𝟮. 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆: This technology is hungry. It burns massive amounts of power. Using AI for everything is just lazy design. We need to be precise - use it only where it makes sense or the cost will outweigh the value.


We ended the trip at 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗱𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸, the biggest stadium in Germany, reminding us of something important: 𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙗𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙.

𝗕𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆.

𝗧𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗼𝗻’𝘀 - 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

Twenty years is a long time in technology. Most things that were “state-of-the-art” back then don’t even exist today. What does last, though, are the people who care enough to build something that matters.

Bakson Ltd started with that kind of intention - not to be the biggest, not to chase every trend, but to do honest work, solve real problems, and keep improving. Do that long enough, the results take care of themselves.

Over the years, the company grew. Not by shouting louder, but by delivering. Clients stayed because the work 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘥. Teams stayed because they felt valued and were building something with purpose. That is not only rare but what really matters.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗼𝗳: the difficult projects we pushed through, the hard problems we solved, the trust we earned. None of this happens by accident.

The next twenty years won’t look like the last twenty. They shouldn’t. Technology will change again. Expectations will rise. But the principles that got us here - 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 - those don’t age.

𝙎𝙤 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙪𝙨. Not the number. But the work, the people, and the fact that after two decades, the company's heart is beating stronger than ever.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 deserve our enormous gratitude. They trusted a company from Belgrade to be part of their own journeys - some of them for a decade or more. They let us build with them, have a dialogue with them and develop with them. This kind of trust is not given easily; it’s earned, slowly, through work that is able to stand up for itself. We don’t take it lightly.

And 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 - well, they’re the reason Bakson is more than just a logo on a wall. They chose to stay, to grow, to care about the craft and the customers. That is something that cannot be taught but must be learned through working together. We are extremely grateful.

Twenty years later, the world is faster, louder, and more distracted. But some principles still matter: 𝗗𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀. 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗹𝘆. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.
If we keep doing that, the next twenty years won’t just happen - 𝘸𝘦’𝘭𝘭 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 them.
