Will AI replace human?
With the recent boom of AI-powered services, many people came to a logical question: what if the technologies become better at work than me?
Think about it, robots can work round the clock and don’t know anything about emotional instability. But what is more stunning, they are learning to be creative.
So who is in danger?
Copywriters and authors. ChatGPT showed the world it’s ability to write texts of any length: from a short Tweet to an article. The trend went further and a book store in started to sell books written by AI (though, yet edited by human).
Creators. They were the first to point this out: designers protesting against MidJourney and marketing specialists competing with AI.
Data Analytics. Needless to say that a computer will process the huge massive of information much faster than any human.
Programmers. GitHub already implemented AI to their code writing services. Do you need to review a code or fix a bug — let ChatGPT do it. Yes you might need to check it, but the machine is still learning.
Lawyers. AI can appeal to the whole data set of previous cases, laws and acts. In fact, the first attempt of this was already done.
Doctors. No need to Google your symptoms any more: the machine will do it for you. For more precise prognoses and diagnoses they should study a lot, but we all know how well they can do it.
Will this mean that all of us will lose their jobs? Of course, no. Indeed, AI can release you from monotonous work to leave truly creative tasks for you. And even if some jobs would become obsolete, as a great T-shaped specialist, you’ll be able to find a new, much more interesting position.

Grow your followers legally — no, it’s about targeting. It’s about localization!
YouTube has added an option to adjust different audio tracks to your video. Why? Because only 15% of the world speaks English. But your content can become popular in any country.
To test our hypothesis, we’ve talked with a famous YouTube blogger Arvin Ash and found out, that his videos are often translated without his permission!
What else did we discuss? Read in our recent article: https://www.voxqube.com/post/legalpromotionofyouryoutube-makeitpossible

AI-voiced books appear in Apple’s iBooks App
Several of these books are currently available to users. They are marked with an indication of the voice acting by one of the "digital voices".
While publishing a book on the service, a publisher can allow the voice acting. Afterwards, an audio track appears, which is created by artificial intelligence: the neural network automatically converts the text of the book into the audio track.
Apple has developed different AI voices for different genres, so not all works may be voiced at the moment. The spectrum will expand in the future. The company says that the process of voice over by a neural network takes up to one month, since the service employees do some work manually. Along with the neural network voice over, the author of the book can add in the iBooks a classic human voice over.

Voice AI helps visually impaired people do make-up
We’ve already told you what Audio Description is and how Google Assistant helps people make selfies. If you have missed that, check our posts:
And now, let’s continue discovering, how AI becomes more inclusive.
Estée Lauder's Voice-Enabled Make-up Assistant app turns your smartphone's camera into a smart mirror: it analyzes the user's face, color and make-up. Then the voice assistant tells you, where to remove the excess and where to add some products.
The application works on the basis of machine vision and voice AI. These technologies guide visually impaired users while they do their make-up.
The app is currently available for iOS and only in the UK. This year, the company plans to launch the app for Android, and later it will be available in other countries.

Amazon introduced a visual dialog designer, Amazon Lex
Visual Conversation builder allows you to develop conversational scripts without code. Replicas can simply be dragged to the desired part of the conversation (drag-and-drop). AI-powered chatbots will handle complex scenarios and respond to customer requests.
The new visual builder complements Amazon's previously introduced Lex conversational interface design service. Amazon believes this will help reduce the time it takes to develop, test, and bring a chatbot to market.
Visual Conversation builder is not the innovative solution: similar solutions are already presented in FlowXO, Aimylogic and other platforms. However, Amazon development will undoubtedly find its place due to its integration with AWS and the demand for Alexa.

Are you in a festive mood? Because Google is!
The company improved AI for smart home control: the assistant has learned to understand queries using context.
If you ask to turn on the light in the room, then you do not need to specify in which one. AI itself will determine that the user is now in the living room, and the light bulbs will light up there.
The voice assistant has become better at recognizing the device name, the user does not need to pronounce it in full. Instead of the command "turn on the vacuum cleaner", it is enough to ask "vacuum the kitchen, living room and dining room."
The assistant can also work in conjunction with other smart devices. You can set the hallway lights to automatically turn on if someone passes under the motion sensor at the front door.
The company claims that the updated AI will change the smart home control experience. The assistant recognizes broad queries better and does not require special wording of commands. However, the new method may differ from the usual. It is possible that some commands that the voice assistant understood before will stop working.

Github is testing a voice assistant for developers: it will help you write code without a keyboard.
The Copilot AI service is based on the OpenAI GPT-3 language model. Now it understands human language (but does not yet respond with a voice).
The wake-up phrases for the assistant are "Hi, Github" or "Hey, Github". Copilot proposes code, navigates through it, and finds errors. In testing, voice control is only supported in the Visual Studio Code Editor.
Github opened access to Copilot in June 2022 and positions it as a "programmer's partner". The company's survey found that Copilot users write code faster, and the service makes coding more accessible to those who can't type.
