Homework Club is a place of play, imagination and most importantly motivation for young learners.

We offer academic, social and emotional support for students in their primary years of education with an aim to improve work habits, concentration, social skills and critical thinking through an exchange of scholastic experiences. In today’s world work obligations are becoming more and more demanding, days are planned out and this reality creates a scarcity for quality time spent with children. Confusing values of the society in which they are growing up, impose upon children questions of how to perform effectively their daily learning responsibilities and master essential life skills.

How much is too much? According to the National PTA and the National Education Association, students should only be doing about 10 minutes of homework per day per grade level. This means following a „10-minute rule”: students should receive 10 minutes of homework per day in first grade, and 10 additional minutes each subsequent year.

In an inspiring and home-like atmosphere of Homework Club house, we can also host your child’s special event/play date/birthday.

Each event is custom-made and adapted to your child's sensibilities and interests.

Homework Club concept encompasses the whole child - physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially. It contains 4 segments that determine meaningful completion of assigned homework:

We are looking forward to meeting your toddlers!

Toddlers are active explorers. They eagerly try new things and use materials in different ways. Toddlers want to be independent and they have a strong sense of ownership. And we are happy to meet all their needs.

Our small toddler groups are created for children from 18-36 months of age that are accompanied by a parent/guardian or babysitter. The aim of toddler sessions is to provide an easy adaptation to a group setting for youngsters, build confidence and develop social and emotional skills.

Let's dive a little bit deeper into the history of homework: why was it invented and who was behind it?

Mentions of the term “homework” date back to as early as ancient Rome. In I century AD, Pliny the Younger, an oratory teacher, supposedly invented homework by asking his followers to practice public speaking at home. It was to help them become more confident and fluent in their speeches.

Today, homework is an integral part of education, having the purpose of recapitulating and memorizing day-to-day school concepts; it helps children develop responsibility, independence, and organizational skills.
