This is a really urgent case.
This beautiful male cat befriended a man who formed a very special bond with him. Sadly, the man has to return to his home country tomorrow morning.
He had found someone who was going to adopt this sweet boy, but suddenly, just one day before his departure, that person pulled back.
The man who is trying to find him a safe place told me that this cat is soooo amazing…..gentle, loving, and very special. And honestly, just looking at these photos, I can feel that he really is one of those special souls.
He is located in La Palma / Pérez Zeledón.
Can anybody please, please offer this beautiful boy at least a temporary foster home?
Charlie’s Angels will take care of his neutering and the adoption process, unless he becomes a foster fail.
This is urgent. Please reach out to me if you can help.

Meet our Z Litter! 🩵🩷🩵
These six cuties are about 15 weeks old, currently small puppies, and expected to grow into medium-sized dogs, likely around 12–17 kg as adults.
Zazu and Zack may end up closer to the higher end; Ziggy probably smaller.
They were found living in the bushes and thankfully trapped by a team of dedicated volunteers…
All pups already had their first vaccination and are scheduled to be spayed/neutered at the end of June.
They are all fostered together and now ready to find their people.
🩵 The Boys 🩵
Zipper — male, Lots of energy, very active, easygoing, and super cute with his little white ring around the nose and short speckled socks.
Ziggy — male, The smallest and calmest of the litter. Quiet, cuddly, sweet, cute, and fun.
Zack — male, The second biggest of the litter. Intelligent, playful, curious, with cool speckled knee socks and a speckled undercarriage.
🩷 The Girls 🩷
Zena — female, Beautiful bold black-and-white markings. Very docile, trusting, affectionate, and really tuned in to her person.
Zelda — female, The only brown puppy in the litter. A little leader, observant, sweet, cuddly, and full of kisses.
Zazu — female, The largest of the litter. Very calm, loving, cuddly, and gentle. She loves belly rubs and is just lovely.
📍 The puppies are currently fostered in Santa Elena (Perez Zeledon) about 30 min ride to the city center of San Isidro
If you are interested in adopting one of the Z puppies, please fill out our non-binding adoption application.
This helps us learn more about you, your lifestyle, and which puppy could be the best match for you.

Yesterday, just before dark, this video were sent to us 💔💔💔
Five little puppies had been dumped in the middle of nowhere, right next to a road where cars may not pass constantly, but when they do, they so drive fast...
3 puppies were found on one side of the road. The other 2 were in a ditch on the other side.🥺
We were asked if we could please take this case...
We are on an intake stop. Again. We are completely overwhelmed with cases, bills, and the amount of work that never seems to end...
But how do you say no to five tiny puppies sitting there alone?
They are underweight, full of worms, and clearly needed help. Thankfully, the people who reported them to us offered to foster them for now, and they are safe. They all fell asleep warm and with a full belly.
They are eating well, playing, and doing okay so far. We haven’t been able to bring them to the vet yet, but getting them off that road was the first urgent step.
Their foster home is far from San Isidro, about a 1.5-hour drive, so even bringing food, supplies, or taking them to the vet is a mission.
That’s why we are asking for help with this little group.
Food, deworming, vet care, transport... it all adds up, especially when we are already stretched way past our limit.
If you can chip in a little for these five babies, it would really help us keep them safe and get them the care they need.
And to the person who dumped them like trash on the side of the road: there is a special place in hell for people like you.

Another lucky pup is on her way to a new chapter YAY!
Maggie was rescued together with her puppy after they had been kept locked in a kennel in horrible conditions, with nobody properly caring for them or cleaning up after them... it was an aweful situation.
Thankfully, we were able to step in, and with the help of Rocío, who fostered Maggie and her puppy, we were able to turn their lives around.
Maggie’s beautiful puppy, Baileys (now Sia), was the first one to fly to Montreal a few weeks ago and was adopted right away, but sadly Maggie didn’t receive any adoption applications here in CR.
Then our wonderful partner in Montreal made a post for her, and suddenly there was a lot of interest in this sweet girl.
So we arranged for Maggie to fly to Canada, and we are over the moon that Ema and her adorable little son in his PJ's agreed to take Maggie with them on their flight home after their vacation in Costa Rica...🐾🩵✈️
Thank you so much, Ema, for being Maggie’s flight angel.
And thank you, Sophie, once again, for making this possible.
We can’t wait to see who the lucky person will be who gets to adopt beautiful Maggie. 🐾

FLIGHT VOLUNTEER NEEDED FOR RAFFAELA
✈️✈️✈️ SAN JOSÉ TO NEW YORK ✈️✈️✈️
SJO to JFK / Newark — anytime soon
Raffaella is looking for a flight volunteer from San José Airport to New York or New Jersey.
She is a sweet kitten who befriended a tourist couple during their vacation in Costa Rica. They totally fell in love with her and decided to adopt her, but unfortunately there was not enough time to arrange her travel before their return flight.
Charlie’s Angels stepped in to help with the logistics, and Raffaella is now ready to travel. She is spayed, vaccinated, and has all her paperwork completed.
Important: We do not pay for the flight ticket of the flight volunteer. That is why we are looking for someone who is already flying from Costa Rica to New York / New Jersey and would be willing to take Raffaella along as a pet in cabin.
There are no costs involved for the flight volunteer. We cover the pet fee and help with the whole process.
Raffaella will travel in a small airline-approved carry-on bag. A driver will bring her to the airport in San José, and her new family will be waiting for her when she arrives in New York.
We have done this many times and know exactly how the procedure works.
Please get in touch if you can help.
Please fill out our Flight Angel application on our website. This is the easiest way for us to keep track:

These 5 beautiful kittens who we rescued when they were only days old are now ready for adoption 💓💓💓
They just turned 11 weeks old and are now ready to leave the nest and find their families.
They are healthy, happy, very well socialized, and have already received their first vaccination.
They are super playful, affectionate, curious, and just a joy to be around.💓💓💓
They already learned to use the litter box.
We are looking for loving, responsible homes where these little ones will be safe, cared for, and loved as part of the family.

Daisy and Dolly already found their amazing forever homes...
now it's their sister's Roo’s turn!
And seriously… how has nobody adopted this little nugget yet?
Meet Roo 🌸
also known as "Kangaroo"
🌸 Female
🌸 Born April 2025
🌸 5 kg / 11 lbs
🌸 Vaccinated, spayed, and ready to go
Roo is small, sweet, cuddly, and just the kind of dog who wants to be close to her people.
She LOVES belly rubs, cuddles, being held, and curling up next to you. But she is also not clingy in an annoying way. If no lap is available, she is totally fine relaxing nearby or playing on her own.
She is honestly just an easy little girl.
Roo is:
• very affectionate
• house trained
• crate trained and sleeps through the night
• good with other dogs
• improving with cats
• comfortable with baths and paw handling
• even pretty chill during thunder
• tiny enough to be a great travel buddy
• sweet, balanced, and very lovable
Roo came from a hoarding situation where eight female puppies were about to go into heat at the same time. We were able to catch them just in time, and now they are all safe, fixed, and doing so much better.
Roo and her sister Rita are in a wonderful foster home now, but they are ready for their own families.
Roo has the puppy sweetness, without the wild baby-puppy chaos.
She is ready for her person!
And if you can’t adopt right now, please share her. Her people might be one share away.
If you are interested in adopting Roo, please fill out our non-binding adoption application.
This helps us learn a little more about you, your lifestyle, and what kind of dog would be the right match for you. It also helps us make sure Roo would be the right companion for your home.
📍 Roo is currently fostered near Jacó, but we can help with transport arrangements if needed.

Our latest spay and neuter clinic took us all the way to Longo Mai, in the province of Buenos Aires — a loooong trip for our volunteers, but absolutely worth it.
In total, 59 animals were operated on YAY!
This community is far away from veterinary services, and a clinic like this was urgently needed. Many people there simply do not have easy access to affordable spay and neuter options.
Dr. Ligia and her team worked hand in hand with the volunteers from Charlie’s Angels, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Days like this take a lot of planning, driving, organizing, cleaning, helping, explaining, and patience — but when everyone works together, it makes such a difference...
We are especially grateful that our partner rescue in Toronto, Save Our Scruff who once again sponsored 50% of all surgeries!
Because of their support, we were able to offer this clinic at half price, which meant a lot to the families who brought their dogs and cats.🙏🏼
Now the sad statistics:
Out of 59 animals, only 6 were males... 🥺
This shows us once again that in many people still believe that sterilization is mostly the responsibility of the pet owners of females, because they are the ones who get pregnant... :(
But the reality is: males are a huge part of the problem.
Lets say...a female dog can usually have around two litters per year, with an average of about 4–6 puppies per litter. That means one female could have roughly 8–12 puppies in one year.
But ONE unneutered male can impregnate many females. If he mates with say 10 females in one year (which is very possible), he could be responsible for 40–60 puppies.
If it is 20 females, that number could become 80–120 puppies.
So yes, spaying females is incredibly important. But neutering males is just as important if we really want to reduce unwanted litters, suffering, abandonment, and preventable disease.
Thank you to everyone who made this clinic possible — Dr. Ligia and her team, our Charlie’s Angels volunteers, Save Our Scruff, and the people of Longo Mai who showed up for their animals.
Our upcoming spay and neuter clinic will be held PUEBLO NUEVO DE RIVAS on Sunday the 28th of June.
More info on that will follow soon! 🙏🏼🌸🤸🏻♀️

Good morning, friends! 🚨🚨🚨
We need your help…
There is a poor female dog living on the streets near the coast, in the Uvita/Dominical area. She is very thin and has been seen running up and down the road, trying to survive.
She was reported to us by a very kind woman who really wants to help her, but unfortunately cannot foster her.
We would love to get this gentle girl off the street, but we urgently need a safe landing spot for her.
Charlie’s Angels will take care of everything:
• vet visit
• parasite treatment
• tick and flea treatment
• health check & spay
• food
• adoption process
• finding her a home
There is no cost for the foster.
We just need a place where she can go after the vet. 🙏🏼
A foster home could be anywhere in the coastal area, or up toward San Isidro / Rivas.
She is a small-medium female dog and she looks like she has had a really hard time. 🥺
We would love to give her the help she deserves, but we can only do that if someone opens their home for her.
Please message us if you can help. Even a temporary foster home would make a huge difference.

Little Dolly found her perfect forever home.💓💓💓
And this one is kind of funny, because Dolly was adopted by Shauna, someone who has been involved in dog rescue for a long time, and who we have worked with many times before.
We had no idea she was looking for a little dog, but when her message came in, it was clear pretty quickly that Dolly was meant to go to her.
Dolly really needed a calm, loving home with friendly animals who would welcome her and help her feel safe. And that’s exactly what she got.🙌🏼
She has settled in so well. She loves Shauna, is also very fond of Shauna’s husband, and has made herself completely at home. YAY!
Our shy little skittish puppy has officially become a couch potato princess…. SO loved by everyone and doing absolutely amazing.
Happy life, little Dolly 💓💓💓
