It starts at dusk on the 14th: faroles (handmade lanterns) lighting doorways and parks.
By morning on the 15th, streets become parades—schools marching, bands playing, trajes típicos, families lining the sidewalks. This is how a country gathers and celebrates 204 years of independence. Congrats, Costa Rica. 🇨🇷
