Reflecting on one of our alumni student takeaways☀️

We welcomed our new cohort of students with a hike in Hacienda La Chimba! A great first glance to Costa Rica’s natural essence with great mountain views, coffee plantations, vegetation, and a well deserved traditional Casado lunch at the end of our hike! ⛰️🥘 This was a great opportunity for our students to get to know each other better and reflect on what type of growth-goals they want to achieve with the program.

Here are some highlights from the Sustainable Lifestyle class trip this past quarter taught by our very own Dr. Danny Recio. The students got to organize the trip and itinerary to get the most out of their immersion in Costa Rica, and apply some of the things they had learned throughout the course🇨🇷🍃 The students were also able to visit an indigenous group called Bröran! Who were kind enough to share some of their traditions and culture with our students!

After a long week of internships, college courses, and community service, we decided to take one of our participants to the beautiful Isla Tortuga for another weekend excursion with Pathfinder! 🏝️☀️We took an hour-long catamaran to get to this secluded island! We saw dolphins🐬, swam, went snorkeling🤿, got on a banana boat (look it up:)), played volleyball🏐, and much more.
