Chinese has many grammar structures and patterns that we rarely find in other languages. Take the Chinese character '把‘ (Bǎ) for example: many Mandarin learners struggle with using this word correctly, as it's often not similar to any word in their own native language. In this new episode of Chinese TV Talks and Film Vocab, we therefore have a look at the way we use 把 in Chinese to hopefully make this unique word more understandable for you! Watch and learn!
Want to learn more Chinese? Just DM and/or fill out the online registration form that you will find here:

Don't worry! - Easier said than done, or easier done than said if you have to say it in Chinese? If your answer is 'yes', then this video is for you. New Chinese Culture Shots taken this week! As you can see, it's a beautiful summer day in the urban jungle called Beijing. One thing that makes Beijing stands out, is the contrast between the districts: you can find yourself surrounded by sky-high ultra modern buildings one moment, and travelled back to the beginning of the 20th century the next because you just walked a few kilometers further.
Old and new, modern and traditional: Beijing has it all - A perfect reflection of the China as we know it today.
Have you been to China before? Where did you go? Would you consider visiting? Let us know in the comments!
Curious to learning more about China as it is today vs as it was in the past? Want to find out more about life in China? Start with learning Mandarin! DM us if you have any questions or go to: https://form.typeform.com/to/RXhbU1MB to sign up for a free trial lesson at your earliest convenience!
It's time for another Episode of our Chinese Culture Crash Course! You probably are familiar already with the many ways Chinese people, mainly the elderly here, often have a lot of fun outside their homes (at least it seems so). Square dancing, KTV, jumping rope...just some of the activities that take place in the parks, on the pavements or squares in cities and villages all over China. In this video, our awesome teacher Hope takes us to the park to introduce us to some typical Chinese outdoor activities.
Inspired to learn more about Chinese culture? We've got you covered. No matter if you are living in China already or not, take the first step in experiencing Chinese culture by learning Mandarin. Which of these park activities do you like the most? We'd love to hear from you!
