Reports have it that Cameroon Schools have inadequate ICT Infrastructure thereby retarding the acquisition of ICT skills especially in the rural communities. To promote Cameroon's digital Economy, Digitizer through its Cameroon Digital School Programme is bridging the digital gap by providing ICT access to schools in need. Digitizer Cameroon is a non-profit organization, established in 2015 with mission to empower society in the use and development of IT applications for economic empowerment and sustainability. As part of activities to achieve its objectives it is looking for volunteers to serve as Digital Campus Ambassadors for its Digital Schools Programme.
Applicants interested in this position should:
• Be based in Douala, Buea , Yaounde, Bamenda, Tiko or Limbe
• Be 20 years and above.
• Have A level or its equivalent
• Be Computer literate and have keen interest in digital technologies
• Be willing to commit at least one day a week for the project for at least one academic year.
• Have good presentation and negotiation skills
• Proficient in either English or French
Job Description:
• Shall be responsible for general coordination of ICT club activities.
• Shall develop and deliver lessons on relevant ICT subjects in collaboration with Project Manager
• Shall submit monthly report of activities carried out.
• Shall negotiate with principals and proprietors of schools to enrol in our Digital Schools project
• Shall perform other adhoc duties as requested by management.
