Ebonji residents got the shock of the day when a newborn baby boy was discovered alive in a pit toilet, served up by fate in the most unexpected way.
It was the baby’s cries that acted like a kitchen timer, alerting nearby residents that something urgent was cooking. Brave youths didn’t hesitate they rushed in like first responders in a rescue recipe and pulled the little one out safe and sound. Chief Ntoko Mbebe Mbong was also on the scene as the community came together.
While investigations are still simmering, folks are serving up praise for the quick-thinking youths whose fast action saved an innocent life. Thankfully, the baby is now being nourished with proper care, recovering like a dish given the right ingredients.
This heartbreaking moment is a reminder that every child deserves a full plate of love, care, and protection. May blessings be sprinkled over everyone who helped save this precious life.

Anglophones Cannot Continue to Be Ignored!
Yesterday’s presidential decree, within the broader restructuring of the electricity sector and the creation of SOCADEL, appointing members of its Board of Directors, raises a fundamental and troubling question:
How is it possible that not a single Anglophone is represented?
This is not an oversight but a reflection of a deeper and persistent problem.
Cameroon was built on the coming together of two peoples; commonly referred to today as Anglophones and Francophones, historically known as West and East Cameroonians. That historical reality demands not only recognition, but fair and equitable representation in national institutions.
Yet, once again, we are confronted with exclusion.
Where are our leaders?
Where are our elites, our traditional authorities, our parliamentarians, our senators, our ministers?
Where is the Prime Minister?
Silence in the face of such imbalance is not neutrality—it is complicity.
We are often told that those appointed serve the entire nation. That may be true in principle. But in practice, representation matters.
Equity matters. Inclusion matters.
And when a people are consistently absent from decision-making spaces, it sends a clear and dangerous message.
We are tired of being told that raising these concerns is “complaining.”
We are tired of being expected to remain silent in the face of systemic exclusion.
If you are not at the table, you are on the menu.
I must say this plainly:
I feel deeply disappointed in our leaders.
At critical moments, when our people expect representation and courage, we are met with silence.
Leadership is not about position—it is about voice, responsibility, and standing up when it matters most.
Today, as the Board meets to designate its Board Chair and appoint its Director and Deputy Director, there is still an opportunity to correct this imbalance.
Those involved must act with a sense of fairness, responsibility, and national cohesion.
This is a moment for Anglophone leaders to rise not in rhetoric, but in action.
To speak. To engage. To demand fairness.
To truly represent the people who entrusted them with leadership.
Today, many Anglophones feel disappointed and rightly so.
Something must change.

Residents of Zhoa Council Area in Fungom Subdivision, Menchum Division, are recording gains from Phase Two of the Peace and Development Initiative (PDI) through the manual opening of the earth road from IMO to EGHOU AGHAIN.
PDI, the flagship programme of the North-West Regional Assembly, is a cash- -for-work scheme that provides temporary employment to youths while promoting social cohesion. This second phase covers 103 projects across the region, engaging over 3,000 youths.
The road project is improving access to farms, easing transport, and reconnecting communities. In Phase One in 2023, 5,015 youths benefited across 200 projects. Beneficiaries say the initiative is restoring livelihoods and strengthening community ties.
Please dear teachers avoid this thing of sending a pupil to wipe the board, it's not pedagogical.👌👌 Especially basic education
