Fall is loading in Patagonia.

While spring is firing this week in the northern hemisphere, fall is starting to take on full colour at the bottom of the continent.

Photos taken March 30th - April 12th, 2023.

What a wild ride it has been. Which is your fave??

Also - quite difficult to choose just five. I’m sure this isn’t the last time I’ll post one of these though. My Lr catalog has at least 3 million photos in it.

1. Patagonia
2. Jasper
3. Banff
4. Alaska
5. Jasper

If I only had five opportunities to show you my best work, out of the 3 million photos I’ve taken in 11 years, this would be at the top of the list.

Of course there are many I have probably forgotten and may post several of these as I rediscovered my best work. But as of right now, this is it.

What’s your fave?

140 years is a long time. Happy birthday

Looking back on these shoots brought back a ton of memories of the grind that went into making them happen and the chaos along the way. Looking forward to many more 4am sunrises with the crew.

Just like that, backcountry booking season is open us yet again. Really looking forward to that week away in the mountains. Have a few things we’re looking to secure for this season. What bookings are you going for this year?

The variety of landscapes we have here in central British Columbia is absolutely unmatched. All of these photos were taken in a 3 day period a couple of weeks ago; all in a relatively small geographical region.

If you know of anywhere else in the world where you can visit mountains, lakes, rivers, deserts, wildflower meadows - all in a single weekend, and not see another living soul while doing it - please let me know.

Shot on assignment for .cameras using the OM-5 Mark II.

Sunset and sunrise are always great, but over the years I’ve come to appreciate late morning sunshine and glowy mid afternoons. Blue and green with sun that you can still feel.

From a few weeks ago in the Rockies.

Summer in BC is at its peak right now, which means lake days are in full swing. When the weather is good I try to get out as much as possible. The past couple weeks have been gorgeous here, giving me the perfect opportunity to take the AMgo on a few different adventures. I can choose between mounting a conventional fin, or mounting the BLUEDRIVE S electric propulsion system. The BLUEDRIVE S and battery are all fully waterproof, and driven by a wrist-worn controller.

I initially expected the AMgo pack to be fun, but wasn’t convinced it would be fully useful. After using it on the lake, what I discovered was that it was powerful enough to give me access to spots I otherwise wouldn’t have chosen to paddle to; and when the wind picked up, it gave me the boost needed to get back to shore.
