The Cook Islands Government has been evaluating when we may be able to re-open our quarantine free border with NZ. It is likely that until NZ is at Alert Level 1, the border will remain closed. The travel advisory restricting visitor arrivals to the Cook Islands has therefore been extended to 11.59pm on 28 September 2021.

The Cook Islands itself will remain at Alert Level 2 until there has been 14 days in New Zealand with no community transmission of COVID-19.
