📢 Eligibility: This opportunity is exclusively open to ASAF members from the North Africa region.

To promote equitable access to international development opportunities, priority will be given to applicants who have not previously participated in an overseas ASAF event or training programme, or who have had limited opportunities to do so.

This edition of Faces of ASAF features two inspiring alumni whose Erasmus+ mobility experiences demonstrate the transformative power of international education, research, and intercultural exchange.

🔹 Franck Cloreil EBOA MBONJO – AFRIDI Programme alumnus whose mobility at the University of Antananarivo in Madagascar strengthened his scientific expertise, expanded his international research collaborations, and reinforced his commitment to sustainable water management and environmentally adapted solutions for African communities.

🔹 Sebolelo Cynthia Moorosi – Erasmus+ alumna whose exchange at Daugavpils University in Latvia enhanced her teaching practices, intercultural competence, and global professional network, inspiring her continued dedication to promoting inclusive and internationally oriented education in Lesotho.

As part of its mission to promote higher education and international collaboration, ASAF held a productive meeting on the 2nd of July 2026 with the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Liberia, Mrs. Daniela Weber.

Representing the ASAF Board, Dr. Nelly Sakyi-Hagan, President of ASAF, and Dr. Alexandre Mahougnon Aurel Zoumman discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in higher education, academic mobility, and youth empowerment, while addressing challenges affecting access to international education.

The meeting reflects ASAF's continued commitment to building strategic partnerships that expand opportunities for African students and young professionals across the continent.
