This was Maja’s first tattoo. ✨🌸

She is from Macedonia, but has spent most of her life living in different countries. Over time, distance can change the way we relate to the place where we were born. Sometimes home stops being something physical and becomes a feeling, a memory, a longing.

For her first tattoo, she wanted to reconnect with that part of herself.

So we created a piece using several plants from Macedonia, as a way of bringing her closer to her roots, her childhood memories, and the land she comes from. A way of carrying a piece of home with her, wherever life takes her.

I always find something deeply special in tattoos like this. They are not only about beauty, but about identity, memory, and belonging.

Thank you, Maja, for trusting me with something so personal.

This tattoo is inspired by protection and emotional strength, and by the quiet language of plants.

Flowers that grow at their own pace, reminding us that care and strength can exist together.

It is a reminder of self-love, of staying with myself, and of creating healthy boundaries without closing the heart.
