Combatants for Peace The 21st Joint Memorial Ceremony

On Monday evening the 21st Joint Memorial Ceremony will take place. Please tune in to listen to those who grieve together in a great empathy movement, acknowledging their loss and that of their partners.

In the first comment, we are also sharing a heartfelt conversation on a radical, revolutionary empathy effort with Sulaiman Khatib, the cofounder of Combatants for Peace.

The Israeli–Palestinian Joint Memorial Ceremony, organized by Combatants for Peace together with the Parents Circle – Families Forum, will take place next week on April 20th. Screenings are being held in cities around the world - in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and South Africa - and you can register to join one near you.

COEXISTENCES experiments a new year of significant number of requests of Palestinian and Israeli dialogue groups to be hosted for a retreat in Switzerland.

In response, we will host four groups in 2026 :
- Tomorrow’s Women: a group of young Israelis and Palestinian teenagers from the occupied territories, Jerusalem and Israeli citizens.
- ⁠Rossing center : school principals from Arab and Jewish schools in Israel taking part in the “Dialogue and Identity” program.
- ⁠Center for humanistic education at kibbutz Lohamei HaGeta'ot and Nes Ammim: facilitators learning how outdoor helps reconnection and bridge building.
- ⁠Combatants for Peace: alumni from the Freedom School.

We are committed to offering a space where people can come together for a prolonged and transforming experience.

Pour celles et ceux à Paris, dans quelques jours, un événement auquel prendra part Ali Abu Awwad, voix bien connue de la non-violence.

LES ARMES SE TAISENT ENFIN

Aujourd'hui est un jour de joie et de soulagement. Les armes se tairont, les otages reviendront, l'aide arrivera pour les Gazaoui·es. Ce qui semblait impossible peut devenir réalité. Les Israélien·nes célébrent sur la place des otages à Tel-Aviv depuis hier soir, et les Gazaoui·es au milieu des ruines de Gaza.

Personne au monde ne peut prédire la stabilité d'un accord entre ennemis mortels. Mais en attendant, aujourd'hui, nous pouvons simplement nous réjouir, pour celles et ceux qui cesseront de souffrir, de craindre et de vivre l'enfer, pour celles et ceux qui pensaient que c'était fini pour leurs proches. Pour celles et ceux qui, au moins aujourd'hui, retrouveront espoir.

Le temps viendra où chaque décision de chaque partie impliquée sera jugée. Mais en attendant écoutons le silence des armes et les cris de joie de celles et ceux qui célèbrent cette nouvelle page d'histoire et ce jour nouveau.

Coexistences se joint à cette joie!!!
