🎟️ Meet our speaker: H.E. Aidarus Al-Zubaidi
We are honored to welcome H.E. Aidarus Qassem Abdulaziz Al-Zubaidi, Vice President of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, who will be delivering his speech remotely at the Forum: Unite for Tolerance and Human Fraternity on February 4, 2025.
A key political figure in Yemen’s peace and governance efforts, H.E. Al-Zubaidi is the President of the Southern Transitional Council and a central leader of the Southern Movement. His leadership plays an important role in stabilizing, reconciling, and facilitating dialogue amid Yemen’s ongoing challenges.
Previously, he served as Governor of Aden (2015–2017), where he worked to rebuild and stabilize the war-affected region. His vision continues to restore the Southern State and shape efforts toward peace, security, and regional cooperation in Yemen.

🎟️ Meet our speaker: Dr. Sarah Markiewicz
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Markiewicz, a leading expert in interfaith and intercultural dialogue, to the Forum: Unite for Tolerance and Human Fraternity on February 4, 2025.
Dr. Markiewicz is the Senior Advisor on Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue for the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the global organization of national parliaments. She specializes in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and diplomacy, focusing on freedom of religion or belief and social cohesion in diverse communities.
Her extensive experience spans the UN, academia, and civil society. She has worked in development cooperation, human rights, gender equality, youth empowerment, and the prevention of violent extremism. Holding a Doctor of Theology in Interfaith Dialogue, she has also trained in systemic conflict analysis, mediation, and systems thinking.
Originally from Australia, Dr. Markiewicz has lived and worked across the UK, Germany, the USA, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq, bringing a truly global perspective to her work.

🎟️ Meet our speaker: Dr. Arben Ramkaj
We are honored to welcome Dr. Arben Ramkaj, a global expert on security and religious issues, to the Forum: Unite for Tolerance and Human Fraternity to Combat Extremism on February 4, 2025.
Dr. Ramkaj is a dedicated advocate for interfaith dialogue and community cooperation, aiming to build bridges across religious and cultural divides. He is the founder of the Inter-Religious Institute of Albania and the European Muslim League, as well as the Executive Director of the Institute of Inter-Religious.
In addition to his leadership roles, Dr. Ramkaj represents the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace in the Balkans and serves on the High Council of Theologians. His work emphasizes the vital role of interfaith collaboration in fostering global peace and tolerance.

We are delighted to have Mr. Demierre, Founder and President of the International Institute for Diplomacy – Switzerland (IID), join the Forum: Unite for Tolerance and Human Fraternity to Combat Extremism on February 4, 2025.
A political scientist specializing in international relations, Mr. Demierre has dedicated his career to promoting diplomacy and peacebuilding. As the founder of the Swiss Diplomacy Student Association, he has worked to democratize access to diplomacy for young professionals, empowering the next generation of leaders.
Mr. Demierre has also worked with UNHCR Geneva, contributing to efforts supporting global humanitarian needs. His remarkable advocacy work earned him recognition as the Winner of the 2022 Leaders for Peace advocacy competition.

The number of cross-border greenfield projects in Least Developed Countries remains alarmingly low, representing just 1% of the global total. Even more concerning is the consistent decline in inclusivity over the past decade.
This marginalization reflects a broader trend of increasing FDI concentration, with smaller economies being left behind. While shifts in investment patterns benefit larger economies in developing regions, smaller countries face shrinking opportunities, particularly in manufacturing — a sector critical for industrial transformation and GVC integration.
Reversing this trend is essential for equitable growth and sustainable development. 🌱
