This month’s Label Tribute Mix is dedicated to Texan Modern Funk label . Since 2011, ABC DJs , , , and Cyrus D have made a splash in the local scene with their monthly all-vinyl party: The Boogie.
The ABC imprint has been putting out quality records since 2014, and we wanted to showcase some of the highlights of the label, with 10 essential tracks from their catalogue.

We are following up our guest mix series of curated Soul Funk gems, and for this second episode, we are happy to have onboard Pasadena’s finest Moniquea.
Not only is she a dominant voice on the Modern Funk scene, but she’s also an excellent Dj, with an eclectic taste of Music. We’re proud to share this mix she did especially for us.

For this month’s “Tribute Mix”, we shift our focus on the Great White North, aka the Land of Maple Syrup, aka Canada.
Being so closely tied with the U.S.A., demographically and culturally, Canada has produced some of the most sought-off records (Ron Richardson anyone?), and was once considered one of the leaders of the Disco-Funk scene.
