Seeing equipment on a quote is one thing. Seeing it in action is another. 🤩 During a recent visit to Switzerland, the team from TECPAR (Instituto de Tecnologia do Paraná) had the opportunity to review their new INFORS HT equipment before final delivery to Brazil and learn more about the history of INFORS HT.

Giselle Nocera Espírito Santo and Elder Ribeiro Pereira joined us at our headquarters, together with Italo Sangaletti from INFORS HT Latin America, as TECPAR continues developing and upgrading its production structure for veterinary diagnostic test kits.

As part of this project, TECPAR has invested in a 30 L Techfors-S pilot bioreactor, a 75 L Techfors pilot bioreactor, a TechCIP system, a 3.6 L Labfors bench-top bioreactor, a Minitron incubator shaker, and eve® bioprocess software.

While in Switzerland, the team also visited FHNW – University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, where they could see bioreactors and shakers operating in an active laboratory environment and gain additional insight into how these technologies are used in practice.

For this month's addition of INFORS HT's🧬ADVANCING SCIENCE SERIES🧫, researchers from BOKU University’s Institute of Environmental Biotechnology (Austria) developed a process to upcycle blended textile waste into natural bioproducts. Using enzymatic hydrolysis and the INFORS HT Multitron Standard incubator shaker, they cultivated algae and yeast on recovered wool hydrolysates—producing pigments and lipids for use in sustainable dyes and biofuels.

For this month's addition of INFORS HT's🧬ADVANCING SCIENCE SERIES🧫, researchers from the Advanced Biofuels and Bioproducts Unit at CIEMAT (Madrid, Spain) explored an eco-friendly method for converting vine shoot biomass into fermentable sugars using deep eutectic solvents (DESs). With saccharification carried out in the INFORS HT Minitron incubator shaker, the process achieved up to 99.9% xylan conversion, offering a greener pathway to biomass utilization and sugar recovery.
