In einer Welt voller Informationen und unendlicher Möglichkeiten ist die Fähigkeit zu kuratieren - also bewusst auszuwählen, zu formen und zu ordnen - zu einer mächtigen kreativen Kraft geworden. Für unser Juni-Thema CURATE begrüssen wir dieses Mal Natalia Blanco und Wiktoria Tundys.

Die beiden sind die Gründerinnen der unabhängigen kuratorischen Plattform CienCień CienCień. Durch ihr hybrides, nomadisches Modell schaffen sie Raum für transkulturellen Dialog und zeigen, wie man temporären Geschichten neue Narrative gibt.

Das Event findet direkt in ihrem aktuellen kuratorischen Projekt statt: Wir treffen uns im After Hours – HAR, einer kreativen Intervention in einer alten Villa direkt am Rheinufer, die kurz vor dem Abriss steht. Die perfekte Kulisse für neue Impulse und wertvolles Networking.

When we sat down with our global partner to choose this month's CREATE theme, we knew our community was creative. But honestly? We didn't expect the room to be this electric before 8:00 AM.

Last Friday, Silo Design & Boutique Hostel was packed and the energy was incredible right from the start.

The absolute highlight was our speaker, Tilla Künzli. Tilla shared the raw, inspiring story behind her project, Stielbruch . From her roots in climate activism to taking a massive leap of faith that paid off beautifully.

She brought one of her signature bouquets made entirely from charity shop finds and green waste from local compost heaps. Her circular approach is completely disrupting the global flower industry, so much so that she’s now designing for high-profile clients like the Kunstmuseum !

Because her project is so innovative, the crowd’s curiosity went through the roof. The Q&A session felt like it could have gone on forever, with everyone asking about logistics, sustainability, and scaling up. In fact, the networking went way past the scheduled finish line because nobody wanted to leave 🧡

Fresh coffee, inspiring design, and Friday morning creative energy - what more could you need?

For this month’s CreativeMornings Basel, we are gathering at the incredible Silo Design & Boutique Hostel ! Located in the Erlenmatt district, this beautifully renovated historic building pairs raw industrial charm with award-winning design. It’s so much more than a place to stay. Its café and cultural space act as a vibrant crossroads where locals and travellers meet, making it the perfect example of how to creatively rethink and breathe new life into a space.

We can’t wait to explore this venue together and hear from our guest speaker, Tilla Künzli .

What if creativity starts right where others see rubbish?

Join us for a morning with Tilla Künzli, a Basel-based artist and activist. Through her project Stielbruch , Tilla creates gorgeous bouquets using local green waste and secondhand materials, showing us how a circular model can turn everyday waste into art.
