Pneuma - “Der Mensch als Mäandriertier”
Second Hout release today and second single from their upcoming debut album!
Pneuma’s new single moves at its own pace, unfolding gradually as ideas appear, shift and take new directions. Music that wanders rather than rushes, following a natural flow and letting small details slowly come into focus.
Thanks for listening.

Œstetik - “Vergänglich”
A new release from Œstetik, a group we’re happy to welcome back to the label. Their music draws on a wide range of influences - from artists like ADHD, Eve Risser, Colin Vallon, Kaja Draksler, PHILM, Malcolm Braff, Punkt.Vrt.Plastik, Sun Ra and the Craig Taborn Trio. The result is music that is energetic and rhythmically alive, but also melodic, lyrical and sensitive. Œstetik’s sound moves between freedom and structure, creating a space where exploration and strong musical identity meet.

We’re proud to share Chance or Fate? - the new album from , led by Cyprien Morel.
It’s the kind of record you sit with from start to finish, more like reading a small book of poems than listening to “singles.” The music drifts between jazz, prog, art-pop and something hard to label, always moving, always surprising.
The album unfolds in chapters rather than verses or choruses - moments of calm, tension, reflection.
A lot of beautiful collaborators helped shape it: Justine Tornay (J.NUNN), Chloé Marsigny, Lucie Göckel, and trumpet player Shems Bendali, each adding their own colour.
The visual world around the release is just as special.
The video Something About to Happen, drawn by Yvan Vindret and animated by Cyprien, feels like a soft little fable. Other tracks are paired with fractals created by Cyprien - constantly shifting images that echo the music’s sense of renewal.
Out now. We hope you take the time to listen all the way through.

Out now on Hout Records: Barene by Samuel Leipold & Martin Perret.
Inspired by the shifting silt islands of the Venetian lagoon, Barene is a textured exploration of guitar and drums transformed through improvisation and post-production.
Recorded over a year of collaboration between Zurich and Lausanne, the album blurs the lines between ambient, electro-acoustic, and jazz - creating a sound world both fluid and detailed.

New Video Single Out Today!
We’re thrilled to welcome Sqyp to the Hout Records family - the artistic project of guitarist, vocalist and composer Cyprien Morel, joined by Mirko Maio (piano, synths), Théo Diblanc (vibraphone, FX), Yann Maenner (bass, double bass) and Fabien Ghirotto (drums).
Blending prog, jazz-rock and art-pop, Sqyp weaves intricate compositions, improvisation and vivid emotion into a singular sound where tension meets light, and raw power meets vulnerability.
Their debut video single is out today, offering a first glimpse of the upcoming album Chance or Fate?, to be released on November 28, 2025, in collaboration with Hout Records.

We’re thrilled to welcome Samuel Leipold & Martin Perret to the label!
Their debut single “Matsutake”, out today, opens the door to a unique sonic world—where free improvisation, ambient textures, and experimental electronics intertwine.
The duo’s upcoming project, Barene, takes inspiration from the tidal rhythms of the Venetian Lagoon, where shifting silt islands (“barene”) emerge and vanish with the current. Just as these islands form and dissolve, Leipold & Perret weave field recordings, modular synths, and digital fragments into soundscapes that grow, erode, and transform over time.
“Matsutake” is the first glimpse of this world—an exploration of impermanence, accumulation, and the beauty of fleeting forms.
