Basilisk Challenge 2022

Taking a Sunday stroll through Basel, constantly asking myself: "Which rule would I apply here?" and paying attention to the bottlenecks, obstacles and ground properties that might influence swinging a Montante. A fun exercise in mindfulness.

It shall be known that on the 30th of April, in the year 2022, the Basilisk Challenge was held in Basel under the generous patronage of Black Fencer (), Regenyei Armoury (), Plattnerei Nathan Cueni, Swiss-HEMA (), Spes (), the HEMA Shop (), PBT (), trainingsschwerter.de (), Uhlmann/In Motu fencing gear (.fencing) and the wonderful Simon Favre.

Winners of the tournament are:
1st place: Raphel Heim
2nd place: Florian Winkler
3rd place Julian Müller-Hewer

All participants have displayed extraordinary heart and fairness. It was an honor having you in Basel.

A special thank you goes out to all the volunteers of the event. Without their attention, experience and general awesomeness, this event couldn't have been realized.

We hope to see you all again next year!
