One of the things I'm most excited about this summer has nothing to do with revenue cycle, coding, or staffing.

It's the opportunity to invest in the next generation.

As a women-owned business, one of the greatest privileges Kris Ellis and I have is the ability to pay forward the guidance, encouragement, and opportunities that others gave us throughout our careers.

This summer, we're thrilled to welcome two college students heading into their sophomore year as part-time CEO Special Projects Interns.

While they'll be helping with projects that support our business, we hope they'll gain something much more valuable:

✨ Exposure to entrepreneurship.
✨ A front-row seat to women-owned business leadership.
✨ Real-world experience that can't be learned in a classroom.
✨ Relationships and mentors who genuinely care about their dreams.

I firmly believe young people don't need to have their entire career figured out.

Sometimes they simply need someone willing to open a door, answer questions, and let them see what's possible.

That's how confidence is built.

And if, years from now, they pay it forward to someone else, then we'll know we've succeeded.

Thank you, Ellie and Ava, for spending your summer with us. We can't wait to learn from you and watch you grow.

After nearly nine years in business, I've become convinced of something:

Bigger isn't always better.

Faster isn't always better.

Sometimes better is simply more personal.

As a women-owned boutique firm, we've intentionally chosen to remain relationship-driven.

We know our clients.

We know our consultants.

And when challenges arise, people don't want an 800 number.

They want someone who answers.

Healthcare is ultimately a people business.

And I still believe trust, responsiveness, and relationships are competitive advantages.

Watching champions compete at Roland Garros, the NBA Finals, and soon the World Cup is a great reminder that success rarely happens overnight.

Whether in sports or business, championships are built through preparation, teamwork, resilience, and continuous improvement.

I don't believe the healthcare workforce shortage is temporary.

I think it's the new reality.

Experienced coders, CDI specialists, auditors, and revenue cycle leaders have become one of healthcare's most valuable assets.

And while technology will continue to evolve, expertise still matters.

That's why I think the conversation is shifting from:

"How do we hire?"

to

"How do we build flexibility?"

More coding pools.
More interim leaders.
More project-based support.
More partnerships.

The organizations that embrace flexibility will be the ones that stay ahead.
