The One Thread Project is a collaboration with Emmanuel Training Center. We know there is a need for sustainable jobs in order for families to stay together.

The One Thread Program exists to offer sewing vocational education, high impact business training, mentorship, and the hope of Jesus Christ to the women and children in Kinshasa, DRC. Our desire is to prevent any mother from having to make the decision to leave her children. Our goal is to give each woman opportunity through education, job training, and having a relationship with Jesus.

Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, and leadership of women everywhere. 💛

From the mothers in our Young Scholars Program, to the incredible women building businesses through sewing, these women are the heart of the One Thread Project.

In these photos you’ll see Amy spending time with the women and families who inspire this work every day. One of the sweetest moments from the trip was meeting a little girl named Amy, named after her.

Today and every day, we celebrate their courage, joy, and determination.

Happy International Women’s Day. 🌍✨

Why sewing?

Because a sewing machine is a business in a box —
providing income, sustainable skills, and dignity for families in Congo.

One machine.
One skill.
Endless impact.
