An important change was made to the Alberta Insurance Act in January. Insurance companies can no longer deny new personal auto policies payment plans based on credit score or driving record. This is fantastic news for drivers who are young, new to Alberta, and everyone between.

Did you know that a good credit score can get you an additional discount on your home and auto insurance? Ask your broker if you’ve consented to this in the past or if it can be added. Your broker will never see your score and the soft credit check doesn’t impact your score.
