Winnipeg's mayor and city councillors passed a bylaw yesterday placing limits on where encampments can go within the city.

Our deep dive into how Winnipeggers feel about homelessness and encampments suggests the majority of Winnipeggers will think this is a good move.

🇨🇦 Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦

As a proudly Canadian company, we know and understand why more people are celebrating our country today. From recent surveys, we know that:

- Six in 10 Manitobans (60%) are prouder to be Canadian today than they did at this time last year

- More than one-half of Manitobans (57%) plan to make more effort to celebrate Canada Day this year.

No matter how you mark the holiday or feel about your country, wishing everyone safe and happy holiday.

Strong Support for Staying in Canada — But Manitobans Want Their Voices Heard

A new Probe Research survey shows that a solid seven in 10 Manitobans would vote to remain in Canada if they had the opportunity to do so. And yet, more than one in five would vote to leave.

At the same time, many believe there’s room to improve how Western perspectives are represented in Ottawa:

✅ More than six in 10 feel Western Canadians have valid concerns to be frustrated with the federal government.

✅ Manitobans are evenly split (48%-52%) on whether having a federal Liberal government in Ottawa is good or bad for the West.

Manitobans have mixed feelings about having another federal Liberal government – 42% are happy about it, 34% are unhappy, and 24% are neutral.

While a sizable number of Manitobans are frustrated by this, women, Winnipeg residents, and older Manitobans are most relieved to have the Liberals remain in power.

New leader, same results (so far) – Obby Khan and Manitoba's Progressive Conservatives still have a long way to climb as Wab Kinew and the NDP remain highly popular in the province.

We are thrilled to award this year's Probe for the Better grant to Clan Mothers Turtle Lodge!

We were awed by the incredible story of how this Indigenous, women-led organization is building a Healing Village and Knowledge Centre near Winnipeg. As the first residents prepare to arrive, our support will help Clan Mothers begin documenting and understanding the lived experiences of the first eight Indigenous women who will be part of this groundbreaking, land-based model of care.

This research will lay the foundation for an Indigenous-led evaluation framework—one that centers women’s voices and honors their healing journeys. By gathering early insights, Clan Mothers will be able to refine programming, shape staff development, and ultimately strengthen their model of culturally grounded healing and housing.

🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride! Probe Research is proud to support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community here in Manitoba and across Canada. 🇨🇦

We know that nearly one-third of Manitobans - more than 270,000 people - either identify as q***r, or love someone in their family or close friend circle who does.

From deep-dive surveys for the Rainbow Resource Centre to exploring public issues through a 2SLGBTQIA+ lens, we see you, we hear you, and we support the fight for greater acceptance and equality for all sexual orientations and gender identities. ❤️
