The Young Associates are thrilled to announce that the recipient of the 2025 IGNITE award will be Gail Asper.

Gail is an icon of Winnipeg philanthropy who has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape of the city. It was through her hard work that the Canadian Museum for Human Rights was made possible.

Join the Young Associates at the RBC Convention Center on Sept. 17, 2025 as they recognize Gail for her contributions and welcome the new undergraduates at the Asper School of Business.

If you're not sure, let's change that. Come and join us for the Young Associates Curling Night. Whether you are a veteran on the ice or a total newcomer to the game, you are welcome at the Fort Rouge Curling Club from 5 pm - 6:30 pm to try throwing some stones.

While parking is ample, space in the venue is limited. Make sure to move quickly if you want to reserve one of the 24 spots (don't worry, there will be a waiting list if you miss your first shot).

Last night the Young Associates welcomed a historic 850 people for IGNITE 2024.

The honoree for the evening was Mark Chipman, whose commitment to leadership through service has created an impact felt throughout Winnipeg's business community and city center.

Thank you to everyone who attended, congratulations to Mark, and good luck to the over 300 Asper undergraduates who attended.

The Young Associates are excited to host new Asper undergraduate students at IGNITE 2024!

The evening event is complimentary to all new Asper undergraduate students and provides an opportunity for the Manitoba business community leaders to welcome the new students.

IGNITE 2024 will be held on Wednesday September 18, 2024 at the RBC Convention Centre and includes a reception, dinner and an excellent opportunity for networking with students and the Manitoba business community.

The IGNITE 2024 Award will be presented to Mark Chipman Executive Chairman & Governor True North Sports & Entertainment Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club. IGNITE honours an accomplished local Thought Leader who has directly made an outstanding impact in Manitoba through business, professional and community endeavours.
