The official page for information regarding the St James Rods' Football Club. The Rods are the longest continuously operated minor football club in Canada.
We began in 1946 as the Fort Rouge Rods and are now in our eighth decade of operation. The club was named after the common 1940's nickname for a young man - a "rodney". The first Manitoba team to win a Canadian Junior Football Championship were the 1955 Rods and they are enshrined in the Manitoba Sport Hall of Fame.

The St. James Rods and MMFA football action returns to Rods Field this Saturday October 1st. The canteen will be open. The St. James Rods Cruncher team start the day off with a game against the Fort Garry Lions Blue team at 10 AM. The action continues as the Rods Atom team play the North Winnipeg Nomads at 11:15 AM. The St. James Rods P*e Wee team complete a day of home games against the St. Vital Mustangs Red team at 2:45 PM. Later, the Majors look for their first win of the season, on the road against the East Side Eagles on at 7 PM.
