LET ME SHARE THIS!!

This is long overdue but I finally have the courage to share my journey here.

My journey to God.

My own journey which was not easy, until now, but the peace, the peace in my heart is nothing that I could ever describe knowing that the veil has been lifted and I can see clearly now.

For context, I am catholic and I started really deeply seeking God, and wanting to know His will through reading the bible, self-reflection, seeking guidance and praying.

This post is not to cause division among Catholics or Non-Catholics alike, in fact this is an encouragement to start your own journey towards Jesus.

The one thing that I believed God has opened my eyes from, is regarding the long-time argument of seeking Mary to get to Jesus.

There is no denying that Jesus loved Mary as his mother, and that Mary fulfilled one of the greatest and most important role that God has bestowed upon her in fulfillment of the scripture.

In reading the entire life of Jesus in the bible, I wondered; if the will of the Father is for us to offer our prayers, petition and devotion to Mary, to get to Jesus, then Jesus himself for sure will tell us (in all those time that he was teaching his disciples and the people) either through one of His parables or direct teaching.

In Matthew 12:46-50, when Jesus was told that his mother and brothers were waiting for him outside;
Jesus said "Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?".
Then he pointed to his disciples and said, "Here are my mother and brothers.
For whoever does the will of the Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!.

And what is the will of the Father you may ask?

Jesus said, "For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day." John 6:39-40

As much as Jesus loved Mary as his mother, he didn't talked about directing our praise, worship, prayer and petition to her. Instead, Jesus repeatedly told us again and again that HE is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE (John 14:6-14)

Mary is the mother of Jesus, but in no way did Jesus tell us to go through her, to get to him, or at least I can't find it.

Mary, together with Abraham, Moses, David, Elijah and many more paved the way for Jesus.
They are undeniably very important in God's plan.

But you don't need to believe me on this.
This is my own journey.
My own questions that by the Grace of God has been answered.

I encourage you to start yours.
Ask your own question and seek the answer by reading and studying the bible.
Pray for discernment.

Because just as we look up to the life and role of Mary, Joseph, Moses, Abraham, David, Elijah and the apostles; we ought to learn that our "OWN RELATIONSHIP" with God matters more than anything.

Your church can't bring you to heaven.

Your family can't bring you to heaven.

They can sow the seeds but YOU alone, your own relationship with JESUS will!!

You are accountable for your own life!
It's between you and Jesus.

placed the lumpia in the air-fryer. Brushed it with olive oil, both sides. At 350 for 10-12 minutes.

1st day whole 🍎

Opened the lunch bag, apple is there.

Decided to leave it for the next day.

Kids came home, took a peek of the lunch bag, apple still there.

Left it for the next day, still the same until the next day and the next day until the apple was bruised and lonely and uneaten.

Another chance,

1st day with sliced 🍏

After school, check the kids lunch bag, apples are gone 💃

Still not convinced, the next day kids went to school with sliced apples in their lunch 💼

Kids came home, opened their lunch bag and tadaa…… no sad and lonely apple left behind.

So from then on, apples are sliced for lunches.
And we all live happily ever after 😉

So moms, slice them apples to save you from the heartache of looking at bruised and lonely apples in your kids lunch bags.
