β›³πŸ’œ A tradition of giving back.

A heartfelt thank you to Dan Spada and the organizing committee of the Lindsay McAfrey Memorial Golf Tournament for their continued support of local cancer care.

At this year’s tournament, held on June 20th at Seven Lakes Championship Golf in LaSalle, the committee presented a cheque for $20,175, representing funds raised through the 2025 tournament.

Now in its fifth year, this sold out event has raised more than $70,000 in support of local cancer patients and their families, with organizers anticipating an additional $30,000 from this year’s tournament.

Thank you to Dan, the committee, sponsors, golfers, volunteers and everyone who has supported this incredible tournament over the years. Your generosity helps ensure world class cancer care remains close to home for patients and families in our community.

After an unforgettable Brave Day weekend, we just want to say thank you. 🫢

To every participant, family member, friend, volunteer, sponsor, vendor, partner, and supporter, THANK YOU for being part of something truly special.

This weekend brought unexpected challenges with heavy rain, strong winds, delays, and some rescheduling. But through it all, what stood out most was the incredible strength, patience, positivity, and kindness shown by our wonderful community.

To every participant who stepped over the edge despite the conditions, your courage inspired everyone around you. Watching you rappel through the wind and rain was a powerful reminder of the strength that can be created when people come together for something bigger than themselves.

To the families, friends, and supporters cheering from below, waiting through delays, adjusting plans, and some even returning the next day, THANK YOU for being there to support your loved ones and for helping create such an encouraging and uplifting atmosphere all weekend long.

To our volunteers, sponsors, vendors, partners, and our amazing team at OTE, thank you for showing up with such dedication, and commitment. Your support helped carry this event through every challenge and made the entire weekend possible.

Even with the stormy weather, Brave Day was filled with courage, laughter, resilience, connection, and community and we could not be more grateful to have shared it with all of you.

Thank you for making Brave Day so meaningful. Our hearts are filled with gratitude. 🩡
