According to Kelly Garni (Original co-founder of Quiet Riot) :
"Randy was a major, major Leslie West fan.
Not enough is said about that. Mountain was a major influence on Randy. We also did a lot of Stones - stuff like 'Street Fighting Man' and 'Sympathy For The Devil'. Also at that time Alice Cooper was very big for us both. We both loved Alice and Randy was especially taken with Glen Buxton's style of guitar playing. It's interesting to note that not many people have picked up on that, even the guitar magazines, which I think is because of the Ozzy/Sabbath association. Randy's inspiration really came from Leslie West, Glen Buxton and Mick Ronson.

May 11th, 1981......Randy Rhoads and the Ozzy Osbourne band are in Cleveland, Ohio. That evening the show was recorded and later on was presented to North America as a live broadcast for the King Biscuit Flower Hour in summer of 1981. The live recordings from this night were also supposed to be released as a double live album in 1982 from Jet Records. Those plans abruptly came to a halt as Rhoads was tragically killed in a freak accident. 5 years later on March 19th, 1987 the " TRIBUTE " album was released. The album contained the bulk of the recordings from the May 11th, 1981 Cleveland show, 2 songs also included Bob and Lee from the 1980 South Hampton show and Randy's guitar solo was from the Montreal, Canada show from July 28th, 1981. The album was remastered and re-released in 1995 as well as 2002. It debuted at number 6 on the Billboard 200 and number 13 on the U.K album charts.
