Even in a wild land of pirates and lost boys, the comfort of home is never entirely forgotten. Today, we are introducing the storyteller and heart of the underground home: Wendy Moira Angela Darling.

For this piece, the goal was to lean into Wendy's maternal and gentle role. I used markers to blend deep, atmospheric shadows in the background, contrasting them with an intense, blazing firelight glowing from below. This warm amber illumination completely washes over her classic white Victorian nightgown and catches the soft details of her hair, creating a beautiful chiaroscuro effect. Her serene, focused expression as she works by the hearth perfectly anchors the cozy side of Neverland.

Deep in the twisted jungles of Neverland, the boy who wouldn't grow up is always watching from the shadows. Today, we are introducing the heart and soul of the island: Peter Pan.

For this card, the goal was to capture Peter’s wild, fierce, and untamed nature rather than a sanitized fairy tale version. I used markers to craft a dense, dark jungle background filled with deep blues and greens, keeping him perfectly camouflaged in his signature suit of skeleton leaves. A sharp, dramatic shaft of golden sunlight cuts right across the canvas, striking his shoulder and casting half of his face into intense shadow. It perfectly highlights his sharp, mischievous expression and piercing eyes as he prepares to spring from the brush.

Stormy nights on the high seas bring out Neverland’s most dangerous predators. Today, we’re showcasing the master of the Jolly Roger himself: the ruthless, aristocratic Captain Hook.

For this card, I wanted to capture Hook in a moment of cold defiance right in the middle of a torrential downpour. I used markers to layer the heavy, atmospheric blues of the storm, using sharp white highlights to make the driving rain and a sudden crack of lightning slice across the frame. The high-contrast lighting perfectly catches the brim of his grand tricorn hat, his signature curled mustache, and the cold, lethal edge of his iconic iron hook.
